Eventually I made it work, it was a matter of connecting the cables in the right way. I only had to swapped the ones going to the shutter and the ones coming from the switch. I have already installed 3 of them with no more issues.
For connecting, for the first one, after a lot of struggling, I used the shelly app and once I got the IP address i wrote it down in a browser and accessed with my laptop. Then I simple clicked on the ZigBee tab “rejoining” (or something like this) while I was selecting in the homey app to find a shelly 2p gen4 cover ZigBee device (my first mistake was to select switch instead of cover).

Sorry, I did not finish the explanation.

For the other 2 I only followed the instructions.
Once you select it in the homeu app, press 6 times the button, wait a while and press 3 times again for pairing. If it does not word I press 10 seconds the button to do a factory reset and start again.
Normally also appears a message to connect through matter, I ignore it.

Thanks. Need first to be able to connect to the shelly. Tried wifi but I’m not able to connect it to the shelly app. Migh have missed something, will try again.

I noticed on Shelly’s official site that the latest firmware update from October 3rd introduced Detached Mode for the Shelly Wave 1 / 1PM / 2PM devices, which opens up some great new automation possibilities. I’d really like to start using this feature.

However, even after updating my devices, it seems that there are still no Flow cards available in Homey that support Detached Mode for the Wave series.

Do you have any insights on this? Is support for these new features planned in the near future?

I bought the Shelly Power Strip 4. When I add it to Homey using Matter, it connects through Wi-Fi, but I’d prefer to use Zigbee. How can I add it as a Zigbee device in Homey? When I try adding it as a Zigbee device, it appears as an unknown device, and only the first plug is detected.

The Zigbee protocol of the Power Strip 4 isn’t yet supported by the current Homey Shelly app, only the WiFi protocol. Otherwise, an extra device icon of the Power Strip 4 would be listed in the Homey App Store like for the other Shelly devices, which supports also the Zigbee protocol.

I have a Shelly plug on a different WiFi (and different internet connection) than my Homey Pro 2023. Can I connect the Shelly plug to my homey through the Shelly cloud?

I guess that means, that this plug works only with Alexa Home.

I’ve a question regarding Shelly 2PM Gen 4 and shutters. I am today forced to use WiFi because the app lacks tilt angle with zigbee and matter simply not work in cover mode. In my device view, it’s impossible to see the real position of my blinds in the status… how do you guys do ?

The trigger “valve position changed” does not work with Shelly Blu TRV. The valve position is available in Homey, but a flow with this trigger does not start.

you just need to change that in the shelly app, it is called “auto off” if you put that on 1 second the shelly will only be on for one second every time you turn it on

I recently purchased a Homey Bridge to evaluate the features and benefits of Homey products. From the outset, I’ve encountered an issue with setting up very basic flows.

Devices involved:

  • Shelly BLU Button (remote)

  • Shelly Wall Plug

Intended function:

  • Toggle the Shelly Wall Plug on/off using the Shelly BLU Button.

Issue:

When creating a flow with the trigger:

  • When… Action event [Short push 4] (or any other specific button/action option)

→ Nothing happens.

However, when I select:

  • When… Action event [Any action]

→ Only Button 1 toggles the wall plug on/off. Other buttons or actions do not trigger anything.

Question:

What am I missing in the setup?

Is there an additional configuration step required to enable individual button actions (e.g., Short Push 2, 3, 4), or is this a known limitation with the Shelly BLU Button on Homey Bridge?

All my shelly plugs have suddenly stopped responding via Homey, no reaction at all and no error messages, any one else have or had this issue and know how to fix it?

Works fine via the Shelly App.

Did you try restarting the Shelly app? Or did you change any network config?
