appears that i need to use this app now but i cant see shelly em listed? i believe have the first generation. is that going to be supported at all? ive also got a shelly button1 wifi which doesnt appear to be a device i can add either. any support for this?

No, you do not need to use this new app, you can keep using the old app if you want and your devices are supported by it. For Gen1 devices you can actually only use the old, as Gen1 will not be supported in this app.

hopefully gen1 devices are supported in the new app. i am thinking about buying some more shelly devices. will be annoying 2 run 2 shelly apps. got the old app working again. had to install and even restart homey. fingers crossed older shelly devices are added to the new app in future.

That is correct, Gen1 devices will not be supported with this app. Once all other devices that were supported are supported with Shelly Control, we will rename the old app once again to “Shelly Gen1” to make that even clearer.
