[App][Pro] Zaptec charging

Hello, is it possible that the power consumption of the Zaptec Go2 is also visible among the power consumers in the energy tab? I only see the charging station on the 3d drawing of the house but no power consumption in the list.

Subject: Homey device view for Zaptec charger resets Charging Mode to Default

Homey: Homey Pro (Early 2023), firmware 13.5.0-rc.4, Homey app 10.1.1.2098, local connection

Zaptec app version: 1.10.4

Installation: 2x Zaptec chargers, Sense load balancing enabled

Bug: Opening a Zaptec charger’s device view in the Homey app (main view, not settings) causes Charging Mode to flip from Automatic → Default in Zaptec’s own app, within seconds. Affects both chargers in the installation.

Repro:

Set Charging Mode = Automatic (verified in Zaptec app)

Open charger device in Homey app (any tab except settings/gear)

Switch back to Zaptec app → Charging Mode now shows Default

Not affected: Reading the same charging_mode capability via Homey flows/API (HomeyScript getDevice(), polling) does not trigger this — confirmed by running automated 15-min polling flows without any mode change. Only opening the device page in the Homey app UI reproduces it.

Impact: Sense load balancing is silently disabled every time the device is viewed in Homey.

Dear Patrick,

I am one of the testers of the Homey Pro app SlimLaden, focussing on the EV charging functionality.

Although SlimLaden now offers a “Solar only” option for EV, Zaptec chargers currently appear to be controlled as on/off devices only. In the past, I created my own Homey flow that dynamically adjusts the charging current based on the available solar surplus, allowing the car to closely follow the available PV production.

However, I would prefer to have EV charging and home battery charging integrated and coordinated within SlimLaden.

I asked the developer of ‘SlimLaden Thuis en Auto’, to see what would be possible.

His suggestions:

"
And your actual requirement — dynamically adjusting to the available solar power, as in your flow (6→16 A): your flow can do this because it uses the Zaptec app’s “Set available current” Flow action.

SlimLaden controls devices through their capabilities, and in the Zaptec Homey app the current limit (available_installation_current) is read-only — it can only be changed through that specific Flow action. As a result, SlimLaden cannot control it directly.

The proper solution would be to ask the developer of the Zaptec app (patricke94) whether he could make this current capability writable. Once that is possible, SlimLaden will be able to provide exactly the adaptive solar-following behaviour that you have currently implemented manually — the current control functionality is already available in SlimLaden.
"

Would it be possible to add this functionality to the Zaptec Charger app, while keeping the existing functionality unchanged?

Or do you see other options to implement an only solar charging option with the Zaptec Go 2?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Best regards, Jan
