Many people need to update, fw versions are compared or asked to update etc. What works for you does not need to work for everyone
I have 9 total but only 3 connected. But not working properly, slow or not syncing.
Thatās why I ask, what doesnāt work for you why you need to update? Besides that, there is no way to update zigbee or zwave too, so donāt think itāll be an option.
Fw updates are there for a reason, sometimes security related, different chips used during production batches you donāt know about etc, Sensor issues etc. Sooner or later you need to update to be supported. Corrections in calculations of values etc etc. A lot can be updated with the many gateways connected. But these are not connected with a gateway.
Pfff I know why there is such a thing as fw updates. But whatās your reason, or just to complain about the app? No reason at all to update besides the urge to update, but complain about a lack of features to the app. Good luck
Pfff Yes we all know yours is working fine as always. Good for you. Stillā¦
Many here stil having problems with these. Tested a lot, tried updating, checking original software, comparing values. Even 1 meter around homey in a circle. People tested a lot and still ble core problem?
Itās not complaining for fun. If itās not working properly, hopely someone has a solution. You donāt cause it works for you. The dev did his parts, and I am glad he did.
That does not mean that we are not allowed to share or findings here because you do not have the same issues.
I even had batteries dying out and still performing like others stated here before as wel. I also had a few who really died when battery died. New batteries did got updated sensor values but in android app the sensor was fine.
1 thing is clear, we are not pinpointing the problem. Not in Homey, ble core, tmp sensor chip, ble chip homey or ble sensor. Itās not that simple as yours working fine.
You can add an issue here: Issues Ā· koktaildotcom/homey-mi-flora Ā· GitHub
There are 1500+ installations working, so there is something that we are missing.
Please provide more information on the github issue tracker about your specific situation.
What Homey and firmware are you running? Do you have other BLE connectivity on your device? What is exactly the issue you are running into?
ānot working properlyā isnāt very helpful here.
Hi There! Many thanks for the app; Iāve bought the Mi Flora sensors with the discount from Homey and love the integration. One question though - I have them now for 4 days and the battery drains quite quickly. They went from 100% to 30% in just 4 days. Is this known issue or are the included batteries not that good?
Included batteries are bad in my experience, but batteries go fast anyways, couple of months. Lot better than what you are experiencing.
Try different batteriesā¦I was just replacing mine recently, it was showing 0% for last two months
Then I inserted new ones andā¦battery shows 50%. I didnāt gave up, insserted from other manufacturer (ā¦China btw) andā¦100% for more then 1 week already on 3 sensors
The is calculated from the transmission power and isnāt that accurate.
@Koktail sorry for delay, i come back to you asap.
but what about v6 update related stuf? i have v6 for several weeks, damn
The app worked pretty well. Sadly since a month or so ( 6.0.0?) it canāt find any sensor.
Ontwikkelaar: Thatās an know issue: BLE discovery gives 0 advertisements Ā· Issue #202 Ā· athombv/homey-apps-sdk-issues Ā· GitHub
@RayCokes Have a go with the test version
This brought my beacons back to life (Homey v6.1.0)
Eerste maal gebruik xiaomi flower care homey 6.0.1 homey ziet apparaat, install app prima. Alleen bij maken flow, blijven alle waarden grijs, kan niets invullen, kan niets veranderen/activeren, wat doe ik fout?
Alvast bedankt voor meedenken!
I donāt know what you mean exactly.
Q. was posted on FB as well.
It was about use and knowledge how to use the tags coming with a āWhenā card, and a few hints and how-to were given.
I solved it, it was my fault
I had a few sensors that stopped reporting so I tried adding them again. One went without any trouble but I have one stubborn flora sensor.
I have removed it from Homey, tried adding it again but Homey didnāt find it.
Added a new battery but still nothing. The light lit up so that didnāt seem to be an issue.
Added it to the flowercare app without any issues and updated the device to 3.3.1
Removed it from the flower care app and emptied its cache. Removed the battery from the sensor and rebooted Homey.
Trying to add it for 20 minutes now and starting to seem that it doesnāt want to be found any.ore.
Anybody got an idea?
Not of any use, b
ut I got 3 of them working fine.
I found an Android app the other day, Bluetooth Scanner v1.1.9
It discovers BLE devices, without pairing needs, and gets all kinds of info from them. My beacons and flower pins can be monitored this way if strange things happen.
Did you try restarting the mi flora app instead of Homey?
Yes restarted the app alsoā¦ the sensor works fine with the flora app. Maybe some other app causes trouble?
