I have problems with miflora distance with homey.
Can I fix it somehow?
Could try the antenna mod. Diane canât be solved by altering software as far as I know.
I Bought today two Mi Flora devices but Homey can not find them. First updated firmware in Flower Care App. Then removed them en tried to add them to Homey.
What is is fw version, you upgraded to? I have 3.2.2⊠Also you are on Homey v5, right?
Firmware version I upgraded today is 3.3.1. Homey is indeed v5. After several attempts I managed to connect. Put sensor on top of my Homey.
Wat is de best time-out interval. 15 min is default but once a day should be enough.
What distance you have problems with? Try to be a little specificâŠ
Iâve 3 flora sensors 5 mtrs from Homey. 2 sensors âin line of sightâ and one behind a lounge chair.
5mtrs is pretty far for Bluetooth range.
Keep in mind that Zigbee and 2,4GHz wifi operate within the same frequency range as BT.
Maybe you should tune that a bit
I used to have 30min but I shortened it to 15min - because not every attempt is successful.
Btw, fw 3.3.1 ? You got it offered in Flower Care app ? In my case it shows latest 3.2.2 âŠ
Just checked it again and for me 3.3.1 latest.
In which app, Flower Care?
I use vegtrug grow care app and updated two sensors from 3.2.2 to 3.3.1
My sensors are on the Flower Care app and firmware v3.3.1 tooâŠ
Hm, Vegtrug Grow Care App donât see my sensors Letâs see if update will appear in the Flower Care app⊠thank you both of you.
I have 2 mi flora sensors, i donât think they report the right values.
I placed the in same soil just next to each other, and the values is different. Temperature is on the one the same.
Any idea how to fix?
Have you compared the values when the sticks are connected to the flower app?
Not sure if it will help, but actually something related to the Luminance has been fixed in the most recent version
Btw, if you are on experimental v6 RC version, now you can check even some details about your Flora devices⊠Homey Developer, eg. RSSI - " RSSI or this signal value is measured in decibels from 0 (zero) to -120 (minus 120). The closer the value to 0 (zero), the stronger the signal will be.[2] With this, the common spot for neighboring nodes is between -55 (minus 55) and -65 (minus 65). An RSSI of -55 (minus 55) is a stronger signal than -70 (minus 70)." or maybe directly relevant information for BLE - rssi [BluetoothŸ LE Wiki]
Now that is something we could use, instead of trial and error all day long
Apparently I have to switch. Saw the following message when I tried to update the vegtrug grow care app:
We would like to announce that all the services of the Grow Care APP will cease as of 31st May 2021.
All the personal data (ID, password, etc.) and growing records will be completely deleted from the server and the Grow Care APP.
You can still use your device by downloading the Flower Care APP (provided by HHCC Plant Technology Co., Ltd.)
(You will need to register and make a new account)We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Unfortunately updating sensors is not part of the homey apps. You stil need extra software to update outside homey, still sucks. And again several connection issues after each update
Why update? Doesnât seem to need it with three of these units
