Ah, I forgot to change something… This will be fixed in the next version.
Install version 1.2.2 from the app store and the problem is fixed.
Great! The authentication worked perfectly and my Blackbird is now connected. Thanks!
Solved, thanks!
Hi Weheat users. I would VERY MUCH like to be able to set -at least- the standard settings (like in their own weheat-app) for the Weheat heatpump with flows. Now, their API does not make this possible and hence, Edwin cannot build it in his Homey-Weheat-app. Would you please tell Weheat that you want this too? When you want to use Homey as an EMS or HEMS and would like to tune all your energy-use-produce in your home and EV, it is neccesairy that Weheat can be set in Smart-Home or other EMS-systems. I for one, chose Weheat because, at that time, they promised that they would work on it. But only getting data is not enough.
Last month I asked them to add this possibilities to their API and yesterday they told me it is on their roadmap, that they wil take it in consideration: but no promise, sadly.
So if all Weheat-Homey users let them know it is a necessairy option to be able to set heating- and cooling- an waterboiler-settings in any energy-aware Smart-Home (and Homey), chances grow that they will build it.
Hope Edwin @evdpol does not mind me posting this in his topic: it would be a great improvement for his app if this was made posible by Weheat.
Edit a few texterrors
I’m going to report this to WeHeat anyway. Thanks in advance for making it possible to use WeHeat.
The issue has been discussed about a thousand times on Tweakers in the Weheat topic.
Weheat reads and even posts there once in s while.
But the general answer from them is it will not happen.
Thanks Johan, I heard this some time ago (too late for me alas). But, it ís a real problem, for a firm who promised this & boasts on being innovative and energy-friendly. The message must be brought to them over and over, in my view. Hope existing users will keep the asking up. A system/device that refuses to work together with other systems in a house has no place in serious energy managment, and must be avoided. For me it is too late, the heatpump is installed. Maybe it is time for Trustpilot.
I strongly disagree, and I would like you to show where they ever said you would be able to control their heatpump with their API.
In the Tweakertopic and in their official communication the made real clear they wil not do that..
follow the link tot the HA Integration :
Actions
This integration does not provide any actions.
Known limitations
There is currently no way to control the heat pump via this integration.
OK Johan, thanks for this clearification. This has to soften my view on the matter. We bought the heatpump before that statement, but I may have misread the info that was on their site then. Had I understood this fully when we decided for a heatpump, I would not have chosen Weheat. Still, in a serious EMS a heatpump has to work together with other energy-users and producers. So it still is a thing to want when you own a Weheat heatpump. But thanks again, I must be fair.
If you’re brave enough: buy and set-up a OTGW ( [APP][Pro] OpenTherm GateWay MQTT ) amnd use it to handle your Weheat.
It’s how I work it. Use OpenTherm top sens commands regarding targetwatertemp and setpoint to the heatpump decided on other parameters I get from homey..
Get yourself a Tweaker account, tthere is tons of info there…
Did you already have one added, or is this the first one? Could you reinstall the app send a diagnostic report right after you get this error?
Now that I think of it, I think I have introducedna bug in the authentication flow. Not sure if it is related to your problem though. Will fix this asap.
