The solution that Iâve found for my Tuya Zigbee Sensors ( 2 PIR, 1 temp + Humidity, 1 Rain Sensor) is a Tuya Zigbee hub with Matter and connecting them via matter, itâs not perfect having a second Zigbee mesh at home but at least all the devices are working locally.
a newbie in Homey and my first message in the forum ! many thanks for everyone in the forum, very helpful and very informative ! it saves my way setting up those very âad hocâ Tuya devices.
Lonsonho QS-Zigbee-D02-TRIAC-2C-LN dimmer switch module (TS110E, _TZ3210_pagajpog). paired with the Tuya app for Homey, the module only performs on/off, the dimmer is in the app interface but the outcome is invisible, and the maximum brightness trimmed half. I did some dignostic tests as below :
TEST 1 - bottomline, paired Tuya Gateway + Typa Life app
1.1 a 25W Philips incandescent bulb (test bulb) works fine with a good dimming range
1.2/ a 10.5W (1050 lumens) Philips LED bulb works fine with a good dimming range
TEST 2 - bench test, paired Homey Pro + Tuya app for Homey
2.1/ a 25W Philips incandescent bulb (test bulb) has no dimming range, max light level trimmed half
2.2/ a 10.5W (1050 lumens) Philips LED bulb has no dimming range, max light level trimmed half
TEST 3 - installation, paired Homey Pro + Tuya app for Homey + 4x LED bulbs
3.1/ 4x10.5W (1050 lumens) Philips LED bulb in the ceiling installation, all bulbs have no dimming range, max light level trimmed half
(4x10.5W=42W may reach the capacitive limit of this basic dimmer module)
did I miss something here ? or, did I stretch it too much ? please help !

Is there a way to tell what device youâre buying from aliexpress before you purchase it? I canât seem to find any listings mention the model ID like you find out when you add the device > advanced settings. Seems like itâs a bit of a dice roll? Ideally, Iâd love to buy devices that are already supported as to not create more work!
It is. You have no idea what youâre going to get, even devices that look exactly the same as ones that are already supported may use different internal identifiers, meaning Homey wonât be able to recognise them.

Such a shame! Can they even be traced to certain sellers? ie SellerABC always sells itemXYZ that we know is supported?

Thank you for your great work! I am just trying the app now. I have a lot of 24G radar sensors: _TZE204_gkfbdvyx which is the same than the 5.8G version, but it has no support at all. I would ask that the development of the integration would be a extensive work? 5.8G working flawlessly: _TZE204_qasjif9e. Could you please take a look to the 24G version?

I am trying to add a Tuya Soil sensor, QT-07S, to my Homey Pro using the test version of the app linked in the OP. The are two instances of Soil Sensors in the app, but the device is not recognized on either when I try to include, just as an unknown zigbee device. Is this just me, or a general issue?
Maybe it is wise that you read he first post of this topic.
Good day gentlemen. The difference between the production version (0.145) and the test version (0.273) is massive. That also means that many devices are not usable by ânormalâ users.
When are you expecting to update the production version?
ânormalâ users can install the test version just fine.

Hi, could you please add support for this Zigbee motion sensor?
- Manufacturer: HOBEIAN
- Product ID: ZG-204Z
- Device type: enddevice (PIR Motion Sensor)
- Battery: CR2450, Zigbee 3.0
In Homey it only pairs as âUnknown Zigbee deviceâ and does not expose motion or battery.
