[APP][Pro] sysInternals - Shows Homey’s System Internals

It is mainly intended for the temperature. I noticed that the values of the temperature alternately give an update. Sometimes this takes several days. Because I am experimenting with a separate PC fan on the Homey, I would like to be able to read the values properly.

The card from System gives me only a option to restart Homey, not an invidual app.

Moved in 23 to apps

Is the temperature updating here? And the load?
https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/system

I see some issues in sysInternals after restarting Homey it doesn’t update. Pls make as workaround a flow homey is restarted delayed restart sysInternals . Guess restarting sysInternals after 60 seconds or so will work

Found the card in apps. Thanks!

Temperature is updating in developer tools.
But how is the load called in developer tools?

loadavg

Haha ofcourse. Yes it does update.

Hi @Dijker , would you have any idea please why on HP23 loadaverage5m and loadaverage15m are missing from insights ? When I enabled influxdb integration, data are obviously there just not being drawn ?

obrazek

Also I can’t get sysinternal to update storage data and total memory - it was updated 14 days ago (storage) and 2 months ago total mem.

I tried reinstalling but makes no difference.

I sent you some diagnostics in the past, not sure you noticed or you saw there anything.

Can I help with troubleshooting this anyhow ?

The total memory cannot change unless you do the CM 4 mod.

After a restart of Homey, the app must also be restarted, then it provides the data.
I have built a tile with Device Capabilities that shows all the data relevant to me.

Exactly. Yet it did not change obviously

Yep, have a flow for that…

I asked again on Slack to add a bew trigger “Homey and all aps were started”. Let’s hope it gets added to not depend on flow delays

Seems that thanks to this app restart needed, trigger

actually do not work ;-(

Someone is using it, can you confirm ?

Agreed, doesn’t trigger.

More people having this problem? Every night at almost te same time Homey Pro 2023 is low on free memory <20%. Already reported it at Athom.

This is normal ! I assume that you have subscribed to backups. If a backup is running at night, Homey needs between 10-15% of the working memory. If your memory is only 25-30% in normal operation, you will get the error message when the backup starts.

Ok thanks. I dont have to worry

Euhm … but here is no backup involved:

This happens regularly every 2 hours in your case. I can’t say at a distance what is causing this. If your apps are already using close to 80% of the memory, triggering a flow can reduce the memory to the point where your RAM drops below 20%.

I’m curious, what’s the number of apps you have installed?
I run 40 apps on a Pro 2019 with 1GB RAM

44 apps on a Pro 2023 with 1.5 GB memory used of total 2.0 GB.

Could it be a problem that i use twice Home Assistant?
I use the Athom version and the Comunnity store version.
Did not have time to reduce it to one connection with Home Assistant.

Maybe just reduce the limit for low memory message from 20% to 5%? It has SWAP if there is not enough RAM. If it works en give no problems, then it is just ‘a number’?

Think i found the problem.
I restarted sysInternals every 2 hours because i thought it would be better for updating the data.
Don’t judge but it is what it is.

And after deleting the flow for this the problem with low on free memory is gone and never showed so far.

@Dijker could many restarts of your app be a problem for the free memory?
