Hi Edwin.
I switched from Huawei Dongle to EMMA (integrated in the smartguard). I’m using Virtual Devices for the Homey Energy Dashboard. With the old “huawei with battery” device i got more information about the battery (e.g. charged today, discharged today etc…). Are those information also available for the “EMMA” Device? I only have the battery level and the current measure_power. but no “meter_power” information for the battery.
hey ,
let me know what I miss or have some doc pic and I will add it solaredge.modbus/.homeycompose/capabilities/storage_working_mode_settings.json at main · biemond/solaredge.modbus · GitHub
thanks
here is the doc and let me know what I miss https://photomate.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/article_attachments/20421983900701
emma is relative new, their complete solution but you can check the home assistant forums or github to see what we can add more.
thanks let me check this .
so it seems this based on the inverter output then and not on your P1 or houseload. off course you can change it every x minutes to match your houseload.
@MarcoRuiter can you verify this really works when you have no modbus meters installed on your growatt inverter.
in the meantime let me add on/off and active power in %.
don’t know if that helps but it would be these register adresses:
with those available i could map those infos to the virtual device too
checking. so I already have them but never exposed them
can you send me a diagnostic report.

Thanks!
yep data looks ok and will add them

Yes this is designed to work without p1 meters . And yes is works perfectly when selecting the +battery version
I’m looking into using this app for my 2 Growatt 3000TL3-S inverters so I’ll need some modbus to TCP devices and I’ve found the Waveshare RS485 to PoE Ethernet Module.
Is anybody here using this device and can comment on it?
Here is some more information on this module: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/RS485_TO_POE_ETH_(B)
awesome , let me add these flow actions.
I know some did kmtronic , @Phil_Bro @MarcoRuiter what do you use?
plus on home assistant forums or github you can check , there is no diff how we connect. more if the modbus part works well with the inverter and ethernet side is fast and does not require big timeouts or cannot handle many connections.
Hey Danee
I use this one for the modbus connection . It has a WiFi and Ethernet version . I power it from the usb port on the growatt and works like a charm for 8 euros
I have this one;
EDIT: I do NOT use wifi..
can you try this version https://homey.app/a/solaredge.modbus/test/
here we go , can you test it https://homey.app/a/solaredge.modbus/test/
THX
, For Growatt I have the two THEN cards . Can’t test because there is not much to limit at the moment with the lack of sunlight but will do tomorrow morning
I can find the AND card which would be really nice to have in flows so keep the export matched on auto put when the limitation is on
I also don’t see the variable tags
did an update with the condition
thx - here’s the result:
they are corresponding with the portal values
The total charge values are “”
according to the portal i can only find one info 461,31 (which is the “total energy discharged”)
if it helps - diagnostic: dfaaceca-12e3-4f9e-af78-1336eb53d116
found it , it is 4 bytes, let me fix this.
