[APP][Pro] SolarEdge + Growatt TCP modbus

You’re lightning fast . I see the and and the variable tags .
Guess they will work like a charm but will test tomorrow :ok_hand:

fixed

yep, forgot to add the 2 on the device else you cannot do flow condition or verify the working of it.

damn i wish the guys in our it department would be that fast

thank you so much!

impressive, I would expect 15% loss between charge and discharge.

All seems to work like expected. Will keep a look out for the next days but i wont expect issues

It all is out of the blue working again. I asked SolarEdge to rollback the latest update, but I canceled it.

So modbus connection is stable again

For power limit : I use the homey dongel app. WHEN Fase 1 is 250V THEN set Power Limit to 50% and by 252V to 0%, works fine for me.

Still happy user of your app!!

nice, way better.

maybe for you the investment of modbus meters can help with setting export limit to 0 so you still do your houseload.
off course you can also do it yourself with power limit but like always use average values and do it once per x minutes.

Hallo ,

M vr gr,
Wilco Wassink

The official app (from Emile Nijssen) does not use modbus but API.
Do you mix both apps?

Both apps do work ok for me.

Goedemorgen Bernd.

m vr gr,
Wilco Wassink

Now clear.
The app from Edwin works ok for me. I see, as I write, the values changing.
Probably the problem is at your site. Have you checked the SolarEdge settings? Did the SE receive a new firmware version?

PS: this is an English tread…

Bernd,

If there is a solaredge or firmware problem, I would not be able to read anything via modbus

The last thing I can think of is your router. Your Homey and SolarEdge should be on the same LAN.
Maybe the IP-address of your SE has changed… The app requires ths info, a fixed IP-address.

Have a question for the huawei devices would it be possible to get when/and cards för values have changed for the battery power charge and battery power discharge values?

Hi Edwin. Since the installation of my smarguard with the integrated emma i had 2 crashes (whole system, inverter goes offline and emma too). The theory of the solar guy is maybe the connection with homey… i read there is an “polling intervall” with the other devices. is there a possibility to add this one for the emma too? (didn’t find one in the settings of the app and device)

report (crashed about 12:47 - don’t know if you have history data in the report)
3496963b-c55f-4b18-b616-42e2b7ec1c7d

you can use the homey logical ones. way easier.

emma that is weird. I do 25 sec and mostly it only take a few seconds. Plus only do some reading which should be supported. I guess they have some bug on it or some memory leak, did not hear from other emma users.

Are you using other programs also which reads modbus. Are you doing write actions? and how often.

thanks for the fast response! (as always  )
→ no other modbus readings
→ no writing actions
only thing i do is updating my virtual devices with the values given by the emma device (i can confirm the values are updating all 25s)..
i think it’s just a “cheap reply” to play the ball back to the customer… thx edwin

thinking the same, hard to proof it , ask them for the SLA , what is acceptable value then?
s-dongle is doing it every 55 seconds , never had people complain about that. it is more s-dongle can go into some weird state.
