[APP][Pro] Power by the Hour: Insights per hour, day, month and year

I have my new smart meters installed and my Youless P1 meter shows data is received in Homey:

So far so good.

However, both the PBTH GAS and Power summarizers do not update anymore:

I tried a ‘repair’ and a restart of the PBTH App and Youless App. Neither solved this issue.
What could be wrong? How to solve this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Did you replace the “source” for the summarizer devices?

Go to the devices’ “advanced settings” and select “try to repair”;
Then you can choose a different source for the power and for the gas summarizers.

For instance, for power it shows all devices with a power capability for you to choose from, the Youless P1 should be among those:

Note, it can take a while for all’s set and running again.

I have’nt done anything with the Youless or the PBTH devices and Apps.

The smart meter was replaced, so the P1 cable detached, new meter installed, P1 cable clicked in again. The native Youless application (so, not Homey) shows data:

And so does the Youless device in Homey:

If I repair the PBTH gasmeter only 1 real source is available:

But still no updates are seen in the PBTH Gas summurizer:

For testing purposes, added a second PBTH power summurizer with the same source (Youless).

This one does show updates!

That is strange! Same setup as the older devices, one stops working and the other one works instantly.

I would like to keep the “old” PBTH devices as they have the last year data in them.

Any ideas?

Ah, glad it works with the new summarizer.
For how long did you wait after choosing a different source for the existing summarizer?
Because it can take quite a while to see results when you replace the source of a summarizer.
If waiting (for an hour or so) isn’t the fix, I think you’d ask dev Robin if he can take a look.

3 days…but the source did not change. And with a “repair" I simply select the same sources as it already had.

@Gruijter

Any idea what is happening here? Same source, no updates to existing PBTH devise.

New summarizer with exact same source..works!

Could be caused if you enabled ‘ignore unrealistic values’. Due to meter change the new meter value (close to 0) will be ignored as being unrealistic.

Just disable that option then.

Thanks. Found that setting in the Youless App. It was not enabled.

I will fiddle with the day / month / year values and see if that triggers the data again.

If not, I’ll use the newly created alternative summarizers.

In one week the prices start to come in 15 minute intervalls. Will PBT still work after that and if it does, how does it show the prices? Heating season is starting so just asking if I need to search for another solution until PBT accomodates the new system?

Many Thx for your kind donations! Much appreciated :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::heart:

Something strange since today, the prices are not the same anymore as in the Tibber app. Settings are not changed, the purchase compensation and energy tax are also correct as far as I can see.

Hi Mrk,

It’s not PbtH, while it’s very accurate.
Did you perform all possible restarts already?

Normally it is very accurate yes. Did a full restart just yet and nothing changed.

Agree, PBTH fail to project correct elec prices now and + hours. looks correct up til 1300 hrs, then it just looses it.

it is PBTH. It is accurate for long periods of the day, then suddenly looses it. Today PBTH lost it from 1300 hrs.

Even the flowcard fail now

Probably the same problem as this:

There is a bug report of this on github: Today's electricty prices disappears for an hour when new prices are received · Issue #282 · gruijter/com.gruijter.powerhour · GitHub

We think this has to do with an API change going from 60 to 15 min values. @Gruijter says he is working on making the app support 15 min values, so hopefully this will fix the bug.

I just remembered that I had not updated some markup values for a PBTH electricity prices device, but when I try to change any settings, I just get a red warning saying “device is not ready. Ignoring new settings!”.

If I add a new electricity price device and try to make changes to its settings, it seems to instead give me the “Timeout after 10000ms” error.

I’ve tried restarting the PBTH app, no effect. I’m not seeing the same issue if I try to change settings in other devices. I have a couple of PBTH power summarizer devices too, and I can change settings for these without problems, so it seems to only affect the electricity prices devices I have.
