PostNL for Homey
View expected mail items and PostNL parcels directly in Homey.
The app uses PostNL’s personal, non-public interfaces. Because these interfaces are not officially intended for third-party applications, changes by PostNL may occasionally require an app update.
PostNL for Homey provides a dedicated My PostNL device with capabilities, Flow cards, Flow tokens and widgets for both mail and parcels.
Linking your PostNL account

In Homey, go to Add Device → PostNL → My PostNL.

Enter the email address and password you use for the PostNL app or website.

Homey signs in directly with PostNL and securely stores the resulting authentication session.

After a successful login, your My PostNL device is created automatically.
If your PostNL session expires, open the device and use Repair to sign in again.
Important: Use the same email address and password that you use for the official PostNL app or website.
Your PostNL password is only used to authenticate with PostNL. Never share your PostNL credentials, access tokens or refresh tokens with anyone.
Widgets
PostNL for Homey includes four widgets:
My Post
Shows your currently announced mail items, including available mail scans.
My Packages
Shows your current and recent PostNL parcels with sender, status and delivery information.
My Delivery
Shows the active delivery, including the official PostNL status, delivery window and delivery progress.
Parcel Journey
Shows the full Track & Trace journey of the active parcel, including previous PostNL status events.
Parcel information
The My PostNL device exposes detailed parcel information through device capabilities and Flow tokens, including:
- Official PostNL parcel status
- Canonical parcel status
- Observation code
- Sender
- Receiver
- Tracking number
- Delivery date
- Delivery window
- Latest parcel event
- Parcel status timestamp
- Delivered status
- Shipment type
- Parcel weight in grams
- Parcel weight in kilograms
- Parcel dimensions
- Parcel length
- Parcel width
- Parcel height
- Pickup / PostNL Point status
- Pickup-point information when supplied by PostNL
- Full parcel status history
Canonical statuses provide a stable status layer for automations:
- Registered
- In transit
- Out for delivery
- At pickup point
- Delivered
- Returning
- Unknown
The original PostNL status text remains available as well, so detailed statuses such as “Shipment is being sorted” or “Courier is on the way” are not lost.
Flows
PostNL for Homey includes Flow triggers for events such as:
- New mail expected
- New parcel found
- Delivery window became available
- Parcel status changed
- Parcel delivered
- Delivery window changed
- New PostNL parcel event
- Parcel weight became available
- Parcel dimensions became available
- Synchronization failure
- Login expired
Condition cards are also available for checking:
- Mail expected
- Parcels underway
- Delivery window known
- PostNL connected
- Parcel has weight information
- Parcel has dimensions
- Current official PostNL parcel status
- Current canonical parcel status
Condition cards support Homey’s normal and inverted state.
Synchronization
PostNL data is refreshed automatically in the background.
When PostNL changes information such as the delivery window, parcel status or Track & Trace history, the Homey device, widgets, capabilities and Flow data are updated during synchronization.
The app also supports manual refresh through Homey.
PostNL does not provide a public consumer API. If one of the non-public interfaces changes, some functionality may temporarily become unavailable until the integration is updated.

Apps made by 
Multiple PostNL accounts: PostNL accounts are now linked per device instead of through App Settings. This means you can add multiple My PostNL devices, each connected to its own PostNL account.
New device pairing: Adding a PostNL device now includes the complete login flow. Simply open or copy the PostNL login URL, sign in, copy the callback using the Chrome Login Helper and paste it directly into Homey.
Per-device reconnect: If credentials expire, you can reconnect only the affected PostNL device without affecting your other accounts.
Timeline notification for expired credentials: Homey now sends a localized Timeline notification when a PostNL account needs to be reconnected.
Flow cards improved: Trigger cards and their tokens are now fully device-dependent. This improves reliability when using multiple PostNL accounts.
Widgets updated for multiple accounts: My Post and My Package now work with the PostNL device selected in the widget settings.
Important after updating to v1.1.0: Please edit your existing PostNL widgets once and select your PostNL device again. This reactivates the widget with the new per-device configuration.
Improved login screen: The pairing screen now uses proper Homey controls with separate Copy URL and Open PostNL buttons.
vImproved Homey Store metadata**: Added relevant PostNL, mail, parcel, delivery and tracking tags.
