[APP][Pro] Philips Hue Zigbee (Without the bridge)

OK, thanks for info and for the Github issue.
I’ll have a look at adding it to the next update.

Hi @johan_bendz, this is great to hear! Do you have an eta on the next update?

Hi,
i’m new to homey and have a strange issue regarding the Hue Wall Switch:
After adding the device using this app, everything worked perfectly. After one or two days, every press of the switch is suddenly sent 3 times to homey. So I press the rocker button once and the switch sends 3 presses.
First I thought there is a problem with the button, but it also happens when i connect the two wires of the switch manually, without the button attached.
I already tried re-adding the switch numerous times, sometimes it helps again for a few days, sometimes the triple press is right after re-adding the device.
Any ideas what could cause this?

Hey, any chance to add Philips Hue Lightstrip Solo, it’s LCL008

did you manage to get the Perifos to work with Homey, I’m thinking about them?

Hi, LCL007 is missing, it’s a LED Lightstrip Strip Plus (successor of LCL006, I believe – created a GH issue already

I also have a problem with the Philips Hue Lightstrip Solo
it’s LCL008

I don’t know if this is the place to ask, but I’m gonna try anyways…

I have two homeys, and tried to use the new homeylink app form Athom. I have on my secondary homey, some of the philips hue dimmer and smart buttons. I can find them and add them to my main homey using homeylink, however I cannot use them. Can this be something with device capabilities or something in this app, or is Homeylink just very useless regarding button/switches?

I can only see these card when making a flow…

PS, also asked in the homeylink topic, but not much response there

Did you read the note in the app store or in the app topic about the restrictions of the HomeyLink app?

Important: While you can control all shared devices from your primary Homey Pro, advanced features are limited. Device-specific Flow cards *1 and certain functionality will only be available on the Homey Pro where the devices are physically connected.

*1 Flow cards which are not clearly defined in the Homey SDK.

So I suspect that the problem is basically caused by both apps. The HomeyLink app cannot use device specific flow cards, and the flow card for the Philips Hue Smart Button Flow “Button ( )” will be a device specific flow card.

Edit
To be a bit more specific.
A flow card “Button is pressed” is a standard flow card which should be supported by the HomeyLink app.
A flow card like the “Button ( )” from the Philips Hue Smart Button with several options like “Pressed on”, “Pressed off”, “Held”, and so on, is a device specific flow card, which is not supported by the HomeyLink app.
To implement device specific flow cards into the HomeyLink app is not a technically problem I guess, it’s more a time resp. men power problem. There are many apps that use device-specific flow cards. All these flow cards would have to be added in the HomeyLink app.

I have read that. I am afraid you are right, although I was expecting (or hoping at least) that “a button is pressed” is not really an advance feature. But I guess it is…?

…isn’t an advanced feature. This is a standard “feature”.

Because the Philips Hue Smart Button has several button options…

…it’s an advanced feature resp. a specific device flow card.
That’s what I tried to explain already.

The same applies to the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch:

I think I understand.

Because this “Hue Smart Button” can do more things, like, long press, multiple press, it is a non standard feature. That is too bad.

And it is not possible, to change the most standard action “button is pressed” to a default flow card? In the “Philips Hue Zigbee (without the bridge)” app somehow?

I’m not an App developer, but I guess it’s possible.
However, it will be a time resp. men power problem I guess.

I’m not using the HomeyLink App, but maybe there is workaround with a virtual device or some logic possible. But this discussion is now off-topic and should be continued in the HomeyLink app topic.

I have a “workaround” or actually a pretty good solution for a while already with the homesh app. I just thought the Homeylink would be the “official from athom” version, and this is also easier in use. Just too bad that it didn’t work out as expected. At least I know why now.

Thanks for your input @DirkG

@johan_bendz I would like to know that as well

@rvdeijk @Robontheweb
I understand you can’t wait, but please, you cannot ask from a community developer to publish eta’s and such. It’s not a company.

Actually I can wait. I noticed that the last version of this app was released 5 months ago. This made me curious and I had no intention to push the developer.
I did not expect to get a specific date, but some info like a few weeks or months would be nice.

@rvdeijk, if you are mainly referring to your request from January 2nd (post no. 1068), then I am wondering if the Philips Hue White GU10 doesn’t also work as a generic Zigbee device. Because since Homey firmware v7.1, Zigbee lights should be supported as a generic device:

Don’t they?

Hi. I want to switch from using the hub to only using homey instead of the hue hub. Is there any way of transfering all my devices to the app?
