[APP][Pro] Philips Hue Zigbee (Without the bridge)

Rolling back did not work for me. I think there is some issues with the driver still.

I’d love to pay a symbolic sum to get these issues fixed but I’m probably just buying different sensors to fix it. How are these apps monetized? Not at all, I guess? That obviously halts development, as most people don’t like to work for free.

I downgraded to the non experimental app and it found the sensor

I then installed the experimental one again and it’s working

So odd

@johan_bendz Thx for adding the A60 light bulb (LWA021) to the next release of the app: Philips Hue A60 new model support · Issue #483 · JohanBendz/com.philips.hue.zigbee · GitHub

Hi there!

First of all, thank for creating the app!

I just bought the Philips hue lightstrip, and I want to have a simpel automation with ‘when the motion sensor turns on, the light strip will turn on’ the only thing is that I see in the ‘then’ section, is two options. (See picture) is there someone who can help me?

Thanks in advance!

You have to select the lamp/led strip first, like “Tuinspot 1” in my case. It looks like you didn’t add the led strip in the app “Hue without the bridge”, as there are no devices in your screen print.

This just happened again, lost power and was using the experimental app, when power resorted there was the exclamation mark and a timeout error.

I downgraded to the non experimental app and it finds the sensor.

Seems like a bug in the experimental one.

Hello everyone,

I just got 3x Hue secure sensors, and I see they are not supported yet in this app or the official one.
Does anyone know if and when they will get support?

Sorry if there is a special flow for these questions, new to Homey so still trying to find my way around.
Cheers, Nick.

Does anyone have the Hue Motion Sensor in version “SML003” in use? In the old version, the motion alarm could be reset. This doesn’t seem possible anymore, or does anyone have a solution?

No.
You can use a timer to switch it off faster, eg 10 seconds. If the reset time is 30 seconds, you have to wait 20 seconds before the motion sensor will react again. So the light will be off for at least 20 seconds.
It it a problem the light stays on a little longer?
By the SLM004 outdoor occupancy sensor. It has 10 seconds reset time.

@johan_bendz Could you add the E14 Hue white luster (LWU002): https://www.philips-hue.com/nl-nl/p/hue-white-kogellamp---e14-slimme-lamp/8719514356696#overview

I think it’s another ID of the Bulb E14 P45 White.

Hi peeps. I would love your help. I’ve got two Hue lamps which worked great with this app on the old Homey Pro (2016 version).

I upgraded to a new 2023 Homey Pro and needed to repair but I can get it to work. I’ve trier paring, resetting and reparing and I tried removing the device, but the new Homey simply won’t find the GU10 bulb.

I did the rest of the GU10 using the remote trick (where you keep a remote close and press the 1 an 0). The lamp does flash, but still it can’t be found. Anyone any ideas?

I have 4 sensors from Philips, 2 for indoors and 2 for outdoors, and since Homey 2023 I have been experiencing continuous problems with these sensors. They receive a red triangle or have left the Zigbee network and must be reconnected.
A restart often helps, but it is also sometimes the case that the sensor that did not work works again, but one of the other 3 has a problem with the red triangle in the tile.
Because of these recurring issues, I have attached error cards to all sensors and the Hue is restarted without the Bridge app if an error has occurred.

But because it is becoming annoying that it is happening more and more often, I would like to report it here in the hope that the cause can be investigated and hopefully resolved.

My 4 sensors are:
Inside
SML003
SML001
Outside
SML002 (2)

Thanks.

You should probably report this to Athom, the app isn’t responsible for devices leaving the network or timeouts.

Already been in contact with Athom about this and some other issues I experience.
I forgot to mention that in my post.

Hi all.
Prepping to release a new Live version, this is the latest test version: Philips Hue, without the bridge App för Homey | Homey

From the logs I receive and from what you all write, I see there are issues with devices dropping out of the network, devices losing connection, SQL errors, full disks, etc. Sadly, I have limited ability to fix these issues as they are related to Homey and not to the app. I will try to fix the problems with devices losing reporting/connection, but I don’t have much to go on.

I’ll try to squeeze in any device additions that are quick to add into the upcoming Live update, and will then start updating a new test version with new devices and features.

This is a quick one [APP][Pro] Philips Hue Zigbee (Without the bridge) - #885 by Rmb

Is this feature then also supported? This would be a very nice addition to it.

ps. The Hue Switch Module is working perfect now

Will using this app instead of the bridge solve the delays I’m getting? Pushing the ‘hue remote on button’ with a turn on light flow connected to it, gives me 1-2 seconds delay before the light is turned on.

It typically will, yes, but it depends on how your Homey’s Zigbee network looks.

Could you explain that? How do I know how it looks, and what could be done to make it most effective?
