Hi. Just tried out one of the cards but now my 6 Ikea trådfri GU10 lamps are in an endless loop changing color every 5 seconds. Tried all stop functions in “Party Lights” without any luck. How do you stop any card in this app?
Reboot app
Dear @LRvdLinden, It would be amazing if it would be possible to have smooth transitions to random/different colors every … minutes. Would it be possible to make this?
Agreed. Nice app but after it exerts a vice-like grip on the lights and wont allow them to be turned off, its a pain.
After much reading and testing i came up with the following workaround
Enable Poweruser in Homey Experiments (which enables restarting an app within a flow)
Within flow to stop lights …
… THEN Restart app Party lights
Turn off lights (not in Party Lights) after a delay of 30 seconds
Now they are back to normal Manual/Flow control
I look forward to deleting my workaround once the bug is fixed!
Of course the ultimate frill would be to control the light colours from a music feed. Either a microphone feed or even pick up a Sonos stream!!
Good evening,
Is it correct that the THEN card “Set to automatic color change every second with a brightness of <%>” is not interrupted by “Stop Interval” or turning off the light? I can only manage to break this by restarting the app.
I experience this on 2 different Homey Pro 2023s.
The “Stop Interval”. works with other cards.
Yes correct. Need to fix that soon. Instead of the stop card use the homey app reboot card. Little workaround in the mean time.

Hi Leon,
Thank you for the fix. Version 1.26 is installed at my Homey Pro 23. However, the stop action doesn’t stop all interval’s for example I have a simple flow to turn on 2 (Ikea) bulbs and have them randomly change color every 5 seconds.
When I stop the action only one of the bulbs stops the interval. With previous version non of the bulbs stopped the action, so there is at least some improvement.
Both bulbs are the same type and have the same firmware.
In this case it is my left bulb which doesn’t respond to the Stop Interval. Is my flow correct?
Unfortunately the same issue here… I can start intervals, but they never stop. So had to remove the app.
Hello Leon,
Thanks for this app. It’s great. I am however running into a small problem.
I am trying to use it in combination with the < group > app. However, when I want to use the Party Lights app to, for example set a disco scene, it all crashes. Not sure whether the Group or Party Lights crashes, but I can’t seem to turn it off anymore (not even by restarting both apps). I need to reboot the Homey device to make sure it works again.
So I am a bit unsure which app is causing the problem.
Do you know if maybe the 2 are incompatible, or if I might be doing something wrong?
Kind regards,
Mark
Hi Mark, when it happens again would you send me a report?
Also, have you looked at the memory of your Homey yet ?
Hm, it’s a bit weird, just now it all seemed to work fine . I’ll keep an eye on it. If anything changes again, I’ll let you know and for sure send you a report.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Having an issue. I have 2 lights flash colors for a set amount of time and use the Stop Interval card but it only stop one light from flashing.
Thanks
Jason
i have a disco scene for my kids
but the lights wont stop if disco stop button is pushed
the light go out and restart directly with disco and dont turn off
even on Homey Pro manual button in the webapp is not turning off directly go on again
cant get them out until i disable the party light app
I have the same issue with v1.2.6, cant get my disco mode to stop.
same problem. scene is not stopping after command.
keeps working, only reset of app party lights the sequence stops and I’ll be able to turn the light of.
Hi, I am new to Homey Pro and am have a lot to trouble with trying to use the “Party Lights” Community App.
Each time I create a Flow using the Set (Light) to Blink every (interval) at (level) card - the Flow will execute, but the only way I can stop the blinking is to force a reset of the Homey Pro Hub itself. Even if I unplug the device the light is attached to when I plug the device back in the lamp returns to flashing.
Sample Flow:
Note: The sample screen shot is only representative of multiple Flows I’ve made to to try to get this to work.
I have tried uninstalling the Party Lights app and reinstalling it. I have tried varies triggers like a motion detector or a open/close sensor and varies lights like a lamp or the Aeotec T1 LED strip. I have tried both Zigbee devices and z-wave. Nothing seems to work.
I can get the Flow to run, but I cannot get the Party Lights app to stop - except if I force Hub restart.
I’d really like to use the Party Lights app, but at this point I’m stuck.
TIA!
Hi @SJMiller. If you scrolled a bit up, you would see that almost all the posts is about the stop card not working as expected.
The author is has presented a workaround:
