[App][Pro] myStrom - Smart Home (v1.4.1)

@ChrisG would it be possible to add an “Energy” value for the myStrom (v1/v2) Switches? Because, without Energy, the device doesn’t show up in the new Homey Energy Tab - all my Shelly Devices as well as the Solar Devices etc are visible, except the MyStrom adapters. And in my opinion the new Energy Tab gives a good overview. I really miss the myStrom adapters there…

At least for the v2 Switches I do see an “energy_since_boot” value. But I think it could be done as well without that right (but not so exactly) right?

An “Energy” value only exists for the Switch v2:

True, the Power (Leistung in Watt) is there, but I’m referring to the new “Energy” Tab in Homey:


There it is required to have the Energy in kWh. So without the Energy value (kWh) the Energy Tab shows no myStrom adapter…

In my Homey Timeline I have multiple messages that myStrom app is starting.
Timeline entry: myStrom-SmartHome - Starting App
This can happend several times a day/hour
App: 1.3.0, Homey Pro (Early 2023) 12.4.4

I’ve noticed that too. It happens when the app is initialized. But I don’t know why Homey reinitializes the app in between.

But if the messages bother you, you can deactivate them, but this means that no messages from the myStrom app will be displayed on the timeline.

More > Settings > System > Timeline > myStrom-SmartHome > Timeline

Try with the Homey App “Power by the Hour”.

There you can choose every device and the energy consumption is in kWh. :smiling_face:

Good point, a bit sad that it isn’t supported directly in the app (the v2 adapter itself does it support out of the box…). With “Power By the Hour” I need to create an additional device, of course this would work.

v1.4.1 is now live :

  • New Switch Ex device added.
  • Switch Energy meter added (Only for Switch v2 & EU & Ex)

myStrom IOS APP: I see both Switch v1 and switch v2
myStrom Homey app: I can add switch v1, but both switch v2 are not discovered

I’ve an Homey pro early 2019 and apps v1.4.1. Any thought?

I did. And even all 110 posts before.

If you have problems after the upgrade, register all devices new.
Finding new devices can take up to 4 minutes.
To add myStrom devices, you have to use the myStrom-App at the moment.

I deleted all my switch (and resetted them) in the MyStrom app. They all have a fix IP. Discovery doesn’t take a 4 minutes but just a few second. I installed simple syslog, but don’t see any logs. I also installed telemetry.

Maybe you refer to that:
