Fixed it by resetting and adding the device to another account… and then it popped up on the initial account (magic…). It still wouldn’t show up in Homey so I removed the device and re-added it again through the “main” account and voila, works now.
Took me too much tinkering but at least it works!
Thanks for your thoughts and efforts on rebuilding the app!
Had 2 Sense sensors working, but now both of them does not update in Homey app.
Tried remove 1 of them, and re-add. It does say device found, but then times out.
They both show up and work correctly in the ios app.
Update: I turned on logging in Homey app, restarted app, and then log showed incorrect password. Fixed, and all 5 Mill Sense now show up correctly.
Officially given up on Mill ovens completely. All my 3 gen3 wifi ovens have so many errors i cant event count them anymore. Falls out of the app, one of them absolutely denies reseting to factory defaults, they all disconnects from both the app, Tibber and Homey Pro all the time.
Baught a couple of Namron´s now - i already have one and it just works. Not so fancy but superfast connection through zigbee and just connects in zero seconds letting Homey control it and does the work woth no issues what so ever.
ovens to be sold cheap if anyone is willing to pay anything for those things.
#Thanks to you dev. guys making the apps but i guess the product itself is just not any good.
do i have to delete my devices for adjust the polling interval i caint find them in the app.
and i cant connect them with homey 3e gen mill 2000Watt heater bild 2022
Just make sure you are using the new updated Mill app “Mill heating” and not the old “Mill wifi”.
Then in the Mill app, select the gear in the upper right, select App Setting. There you will be able to set the polling interval. Save and done…
Mill App v 4.5.2, can’t recall any information ever about api upgrade.
Have a OIL1500WIFI3 oven.
Debug log complains about password, which is the same that works fine with the Tibber Power-up integration.
That said, The Tibber Power-Up is V1 despite I should (?) use V2 since the oven is a 3rd gen? The V2 power-up doesn’t work at all so something might be wrong with API after all but no idea how to move on from here.
Not super-fond of giving login credentials to random url as listed above but even tried that (without any luck, maybe link broken again?)
Looking forward to a smoother Homey support for Mill heaters
I had assumed auto-update to resolve but after manually updating I got the migration prompt and have done so now with a success message. Thanks for the info on app version.
Homey still times out though without finding anything. The oven is visible in the Mill App, but Tibber Power-up V1 allows to add oven, but get no data. V2 gives error-message when trying to connect.
The Migration said it could take 24-48 hours before some missing ovens, but I could manually add/remove if I were missing ovens. I’m not, but should perhaps try to do so regardless at least Homey and Tibber seems unable to connect after the migration…
When i also had problem with my Mill sense getting to update, it also did complain about the password in the log. I made a new password, and this time Mill wanted me to use a password with at least one upper case letter. My old password did not have it. After password update the sensors got updated. Afterwards this went bad again probably because of app update, and then i changed the polling, and all is ok here now.
I noticed that the connection to the oven (green wifi icon) was blinking and gave it some time after the API migration.
After an hour or so the link was steady and I then tried to add the oven again. No dice.
I tried adding the Tibber Power-up V2 which did find it however.
Checking the debug log for the app showed that it did authenticate correctly, but then got stuck in pairing. After manually restarting the app it finally showed the oven though, so much rejoicing.
Looking in the debug-log there are still some stack traces with 503 errors (let me know if more details is relevant, haven’t had time to see if any functionality is missing due to this).
So TLDR - what I did to add a OIL1500WIFI3 in new Homey Mill Heating (v 2.3.4) App.
manually update to iOS Mill Norway app version to 4.6.2 or newer.
Start app and when asked to do API Migration, do so.
Check that your oven(s) have regained connection
Ensure the debug log in the Homey Mill Heating App show you successfully authenticate
Hello, trying to add Sense devices. It says New Devices Found, then after a while it says Network request failed. Diagnostics 0f938f63-cc73-4614-8c2f-8f0b3ec67287.
seems i figured this out myself.
i’ve missed the part that i have to update the iOS app and migrate to new servers before I could use this Homey APP.
Anyway, after doing this, waiting 24 hours and restart the Homey APP.
Any error about network timeout was replaced by no new devices found… Though I do have two!
Since my ovens is registered as Idenpendent Devices I decided to try create rooms and move them to their respectively rooms, voila! now it works perfectly…
So to summarize…
For the mill devices controlled directly, are you using the outdated iOS app or have not yet migrated as instructed in the Mill Heating iOS app, this Homey APP will not work. and debug will just say wrong password and username and finding new devices will just result in a timeout or network error.
Any devices not connected to a House and a room, will not be found in Homey APP
i’ve got the same message as you, did you update your mill mobile app to latest version and follow the instructions in the app to migrate to new servers?
Also your units can not apparently be registered as individual devices
I’m on app 4.3.22 on Android and there is no information or prompt about migration to new server that I can see. Am I missing something? When I added Sense devices there was not an option to assign them to rooms, but I see now there is. Sadly, it didn’t make a difference for me
