[APP][Pro] MELCloud & MELCloud Extension - Take control of your heat pump

Hi @Witteflits, the bug is known, and does not come from the apps (including mine) but from the Homey core: Thermostat control unavailable in mobile app

The fix is ready, but deployed only for the iOS v9 (beta). I read threads where developers asked for the fix deployment on the production app (v8), but Athom didn’t react.

I was told that there’s a fix pending for the Android app but that it’s being held up by Google for some reason.

Hi, I have a strange problem where I can’t set the temperature of my Hero LN35. I tested my flows, I manually changed in the Device and in the Melcoud app but they are all reverted back within seconds.
The temperate it reverts back to is the same as the target temperature in the settings;

I have also tried to change the temperature (13) to something else but it is also reverted back. Anything else I can try?

Hi @KWallin, if you say that it does not work even from the official MELCloud app, that probably means that the communication between the Cloud and your device is broken. You can try to turn off the power (not only turn off the device), or pair again the Wi-Fi connector. Otherwise you need to contact Mitsubishi.

Hi, I will do some more tests when I come home. I forgot to say that I was able to change the speed from the Melcloud app and it is replicated to the device. The only thing that made me report was this target temperature that is the same that it reverts to. I will deactivate your app and try my backup, Sensibo, next. Will report the findings.

So maybe it’s just some flow overriding your value behind the scenes?

Checked that too

The only thing I did not check was my VThermo test, problem fixed! Sorry for bothering you and thanks for your support!

Hi, I experience the exact same thing after adding a new heat-pump identical to my existing. They are both identically defined in MelCloud. As I understand it relates to Homey not recognising this as a “Climate” Device. Strange thing, though, is that the existing similar unit function as it should with full Thermostat (red / blue / grey circle around temp in Homey) so it obviously apply’s only to newly defined units

Hi @Dag_Gulbrandsrud, this is not strange and works as expected… but not as wanted

You created the first devices when their class was set as “thermostat” in the app.
Recently a new “heat pump” class has been created: in the app I set to this new class, but existing devices cannot be migrated without being recreated: only new devices can benefit from this new class.

About the heat pumps not being under climate, in my opinion it should be, and I warned Athom about it. I even created an issue: Include heatpumps under climate · Issue #361 · athombv/homey-apps-sdk-issues · GitHub

Hi @OlivierZal , thanks for clarifying - hopefully an update can reinstate the “Thermostat” functionality also for heatpumps in Homey.

Hi @OlivierZal , is it just me or does it look like Melcloud is down. The units are not reacting in inputs from the Melcloud app anymore…

Hi @Cyril_Hendriks, works fine for me, and no update recently…

Works again for me. Guess it was just a local issue with my WiFi. Thanks for your swift response

Appearantly there is a Melcloud problem at the moment :

By the way, with Melcloud app I referred to the official Android app, not yours

Hello all.

I saw that you wrote a lot here about MELCloud.

Do somebody know if is somehow possible to set temperature fom -9°C to +9°C on compensation curve because I can set from phone only for Room and Flow?

Thank you a lot.

Hey @OlivierZal ,

Tried to add your widget, but it made my Homey app nearly freeze, because of the fire in the bottom (I guess). Impossible to scroll and to save the layout. Tried it on a Samsung S21 FE mobile phone.

Hi @Marius_Stensrod, I think I found the issue, should be fixed very soon.

Shouldn’t “Change to” (“Ändras till” in swedish) have an option in these cases? Now it is not possible to choose anything.

Can you not use the tag, that the logic card provides when triggered?
