[APP][Pro] Marstek Energy Storage

I tried the test APP but no data coming in and getting a time out.

Running v147.3 in the marstek v3.

Maybe better not to get all the data in 1 go but only parts of the data?

I had been using the direct Modbus connection for months.
After an update, I lost the connection to the V3; no matter what I try or which settings I adjust, nothing works.
I’ve now reconnected the EW11 and established a connection to it, and everything is working again.
The issue with the EW11 was that it would occasionally lose the connection and require a restart, so I really hope the direct connection starts working properly again.

Thanks for all the effort put into this app!

I decided to regress to 1.3.4 and re-add the good back into that version. I ask the people that have problems to stay in the test track and confirm if the regression solves their problems.
Then ill release a 1.4.0 with some of the enhancement I aiimed to do but as a proper rewrite. See if the problems re-occur or stay away. The path from 1.3.4 till 1.3.21 became to messy and it became hotfix on hotfix.
I will do a quick release 1.3.21 that just regresses back to 1.3.19 for the people that had no issues there while I give myself a bit of time for 1.4.0 to finalize.

thanks for confirming my worries, the serial modbus can handle te load fine, but the V3 UTP clearly is weak. So indeed I must go back to the old load and ensure I keep this top of mind when trying to build new features :frowning:

So 1.3.22 is there in test channel, it is primairly a cut out of the .19 and .20 and .21 changes. But I kept some improved logging.
I hope this helps that regression. The peopel suffuring for longer have to wait till 1.4.0
Thats in progress now. Hope to have that done somewhere tonight also

For the brave people out there: 1.4.0 is in test channel, please test it. @Domotica-blog.nl @Marco_Dijkstra @John_Verstra @TKroon @Lifevolution

And yes I run all these version on my own v2 with elfin also without any issues all this time.
So if anyone has connections to Marstek to convince them to send me a test V3 I can do proper testing, this thing is so frustrating.

Still not working without EW11

Unfortunately no change:

But I really appreciate your continuous effort

Gave it a spin…same issues.

Ok, we go back to the exact build of version 1.3.4 (last May).
I need you to confirm if this one works again, if NOT then its something on the Marstek side, new firmware or something changed there.
If it is working again, we can take a breath here. if it DOES please still send me logs all of you.
this helps me to compare what errors I tried to capture cleanly that are actually part of the owrking communication etc.
I need to compare patterns so I need the working logs.

Else if it still does not, share me all your Firmware versions. The logs show weird hit ad misses on registers, some devices do return a certain register while the another device on the same setup doesnt etc.

Its in test now

Hi,

Running on your last beta version 1.4.1 and data is coming from al 3 venus E 3.0.

Can also send commands to the batteries.

All 3 are running on FW 148.

Many thanks for all the effort you are putting in it.

There seems to be improvement. Values are coming in again. I’ll keep you posted.

Unfortunately for me no improvement. Venus D FW 149.

No other Modbus app is connected. I also tried turning off the other Marstek Homey app using the local api, but no luck. Also tried turning this app off for 30 minutes to let the modbus cool down, but also no luck.

As mentioned before, I’m not entirely sure the issue is with your app, since your update and the FW 149 update came around the same time.

Too bad for me, but I’m happy to see it does work again for the other users

You have a Venus D, did it ever work? @TKroon

Yes it did work and was reliable.

Yes,

It looks like I also have data again! But now my battery is empty and I only get the grid voltage as new value, so lets have a look when the sun is going to shine

It’s an improvement here as well, thanks!

I’m new with this. I want to buy a Marstek Venus E Max. Do I really need to use a PUSR-DR134 or PUSR-DR134?

Is it not possible to see the Marstek direct? I’m just looking around and don’t know all this. So body who can help me?

I’m still thinking to buy a battery and it will be a Anker or a Marstek.

Well done. Everything is working properly again. Thanks for the effort.
