@Alex069 are Homey and the magic home controller in the same network?
No guest networks / vlans
Same network, same everything.
@Alex069 And you already restarted your Homey?
Homey restarted, double checked the network
I do have a way to check if Homey can reach the device.
That would be via HomeyScript
If you create a new script and put in this :
console.log(await fetch('http://IP_OF_MAGIC_HOME_HERE'));
console.log('--------------------------------------')
then it will give you a result if it could find it or not.
@Alex069 really looks like some connection issues in your network.
Will check, be back with some updates.
Also let me tell you the steps that I took.
1)LED Controller in Pair Mode
2) Connected to the Mobile App
3) managed to connect it to Homey, but not so much control from Homey.
@Alex069 what type of ledstrip did you connect?
It’s a random one from Aliexpress
@Alex069 i meant the type
RGB, RGBWW, Adressable
Sorry about that, plain RGB
Hi,
Can you let me know what type of addressable led strip you have?
@dennis_van_dinter just a random WS1218b from Ali
I have the Mini WiFi LED Controller for single color LED Strips. No matter what I do, Homey can’t find it. I come from a Home Assistant setup where it did work. The controller I purchased at the time is this one: Mini WiFi LED Controller voor enkel kleurige LEDStrips - LEDStripXL
What should I do?
@Noscript heard somebody else with same issue
Looks like local discovery issue
Will investigate
Cool, thanks Martijn! If you need me for debugging, I’m here!
Did you made any progress? Is there something I can help with?
@Noscript no wasnt home this weekend. Please be patient. will check somewhere this week
@Noscript can you try to add your device and send me a report after you did that. Then I can check your logs
