[APP][PRO] KEBA app

Yes I sent a report earlier. I have disable discover now and set the IP manually. I can’t find how I enabled the UDP setting in the Keba web interface.

I have tried restarting etc without success. If you could send a screenshot, I would be grateful

I had similar issues long time ago. The P30 has a really low quality wifi chip and disconnected frequently. Since I connected my P30’s with ethernet cable, they work flawlessly. I have 3 P30 installed.

I know it may be really cumbersome. But just to rule that out, try and temporarly connect your P30 with ethernet and see if it solves your disconnection issues.

It is not done in the web interface, but on the hardware it self with dip-switches.
Not sure what model you have, but example for me: https://www.keba.com/file/downloads/e-mobility/KeContact_KCP20_30_ih_en.pdf and page 32…
“D1.3 Activate SmartHome Interface via UDP (for details see “UDP Programmers Guide”).”

You can see if the setting is on or off in the web interface though…

thanks, ok now I have activated UDP on the box and restarted it. Sees that I have firmware 1.3 and must upgrade according to the UDP Programmers Guide to 3.05 or higher. Thanks a lot for the help so far I will get back to you if it doesn’t solve the problem

Great, hope this solves it, if more help is needed - mention me - or send me a direct message - else I may miss it.

Thank you @Jonathan_Cohen for the help everything is working as it should now

Does anyone have any experience with the Keba charger when it branded by Clever?

It’s just a label. I have 3 Keba P30. 2 with Clever and 1 with Bee branding. But there are different models with different specs out there. The most important is X-series. Check the model number and compare to the table in the manual from Keba website to get the features you want if buying used.

Good luck!

Hi @Jonathan_Cohen, first of all, great work. Since I replaced my P30 to a P40, your app doesn’t work
any more. Do you plan to add the Keba P40 as well?

Hi @Jonathan_Cohen!

With the new energy tab in the Homey app, there seems to be possible to have the EV chargers show up and add values to the visuals. Plugs for bike and moped chargers show up when set the category to EV charger.

Is it possible to do the same with the Keba devices as well?

Hi,
I would also very much appreciate the integration of the P40 into the app.
@Jonathan_Cohen I would offer my support for that topic.

Hi,

any plans to add the P40 to the app.

According to the Keba support they are not going to add UDP support to the P40 it only support TCP Modbus or REST API.

Would be much apprechiated to integrate the P40 in the app.

Hi there all, sorry for not answering - have for some reason not got any notifications.
@_Gesperrt, @Daniel_Lenfort and @Roland_Brandmayr - The P40 as I understand it does not support UDP (Keba P20/30 does) - and that is what is used today, also myself do not own a P40 so I would not be able to test it. All these models support Modbus, but I have no experience with that - but could do some intitial testing and if it seems doable I could try - if someone can offer to be a “tester”. It was some time ago I did the app, so I need to get started again

@aste On your request “With the new energy tab in the Homey app…” I have not seen that before - where how do you access that?

Hi @Jonathan_Cohen ,
Thank you very much for offering to test the Modbus interface initially and, if possible, get the P40 working with the app.
I’d be very keen to test this. I have a Keba P40 Pro.

Thanks and best regards,
Daniel

Hi @Jonathan_Cohen

Thank you very much for offering to handle the Modbus. I’d love to test your app on my P40 (not the Pro).

@_Gesperrt @Daniel_Lenfort could you share the Mac-addresses of your keba chargers - so I can add them to the discovery?

I have successfully been able to call/use modbus on my charger and spec is the same for p40. Now I just need to get it into a driver/device into Homey. As soon as done, I will share a test version of the app.

I sent you the MAC address in a PM

Did the same!
