[APP][Pro] Huawei Solar - Smart energy for a better life

@reyntjensw I have a new (login) problem:
image

seems the servers have changed. when I login on the website, it no longer uses:

  • region03eu5

but

  • uni003eu5

maybe that’s the reason … make the configuration option maybe freetext rather than drop-down selection

Hello,

Is there a plan to have a MODBUS TCP option for those who have it available?
I can donate some :moneybag: for this.

Hi Valentin

I have a basic modbus setup but it is to complex to setup.
You need admin access on the inverter, it only works on some models and it only works via an ethernet cable.

I’m not going to release it or I will be only doing support to end users.

Hi,

All I need is to be able to change “Battery Backup power SOC” parameter.
Maybe is there a way to do it with a script? Do you have any documentation on how to do that?

I have admin access. Also with MODBUS you can just read the info if you don’t have elevated priviledges.

Thanks.

Hi,

It is possible to change server addresses as after latest update they changed and also in the fusion web now there are more options available to normal user?
Also, I have modbus, admin access and dongle connected by ETH, can you point on the modbus setup to try it?

Thank you.

@reyntjensw if required for testing of #105, I can create you some temporary credentials if needed

I can also arrange anything needed (port forward for remote access, etc )

You can access the settings in the Fusionsolar app. At the bottom, press “devices” and then “Connected devices”. Here you press on Battery and then on the 4 dots in the upper right corner and select “Parameter settings”.

Here you can see and change 4 different settings. At the top is how much the battery can generally be charged to, and it is fine at 100%. Below is the minimum limit for how far the battery must discharge - we recommend that it is set at 5% to ensure that you do not stress the battery. At the bottom is AC charge cutoff SOC – this means how much the battery must be charged from the mains, i.e. when you use TOU. It is now at 50% and you can increase it as much as you like. On cloudy days it might be fine to charge it all the way to 100% at night, but on a nice cloudless winter day there will probably be a little excess current and here you can perhaps set it to 60 or 70% so there is some room for surplus current.

I know I can change it from Fusionsolar. Maybe I didn’t express it correctly. Whant I need is to automate that parameter change based on some other devices.
My electric installation doesn’t allow me to split circuits and I don’t want to stress the battery at night if my wife starts the washing machine or the oven.

Is there a solution for the new server? The drop-down menu with free selection would be great.

I need: uni004eu5.

@Stef_Jacops

Server access has changed.
The app is being adjusted, it will take some time until it works again.

Please read the above posts :slight_smile: This is an issue and it is currently investigated by the App author. But it seems to take some time to get this fixed.

Me to: I would also donate for someone who could write an app for Modbus integration of huawei PV.
Who else would do so? Is there no one willing to do it for money?

Yes, it’s a shame that there has been no answer for so long when and if an update is planned.
Maybe someone else can do the work. At the same time you can then change server access.
