ZoneTracks Keep track of the family with the OwnTracks app — without handing your location data to a third party. Homey Tracks uses the free, open-source OwnTracks app on your phone to report location to your Homey. Nothing goes through my servers, or anyone else’s* — the data goes from your phone …

Hi Adrian, Yes, I use the http in owntracks. And Yes, till now only zones created in owntracks are Exchanged with homey tracks. The zones created in homey track are Shared type. In owntracks I see the avatar selected in homey tracks. Thanks Adrian!!!

Maybe I screwed it up myself. Since this morning I don’t get updates of the zones anymore. To be sure, what is the name of the field in owntracks where I need to paste the url of the endpoint? Is that in ‘host’ of ‘url’?

In HTTP mode it is URL. The Host is for MQTT mode.

I have published a new test version that should fix the syncing of zones back to OwnTracks in HTTP mode.

Adrian wrote his version of that app because the developer mentioned he hasn’t got time to work on his app. [image] [APP][Pro] Location and Presence (Owntracks) Not really abandoned yet, just lack of time. But if you have any additions or improvements, you can create a pull request on github so …

I did try that but it was missing features that I wanted and hasn’t been updated for 3 years. I posted a message on the forum but by the time I got a sort of response, I had already started my own app because I thought it had been abandoned. I tried to look at the GitHub repo that was linked in the…

Good to hear that a new app is being worked on. I’ve been using the “old” one for years and have actually never had any problems. I also use the “Recorder” in Docker because I enjoy cycling and that way I can review my route afterwards.

This app will record your route and display it in the app settings.

I agree what is the difference with the existing app ! Are there additional features otherwise just combining the apps to one would make sense
