[App][Pro] HomeKitty 😸 (aka HomeyKit 3.0)

The doorbell implementation in HomeKitty doesn’t support alarm_generic, only button, and only one way (from HomeKit to Homey, not the other way around).

I don’t know of a way of working around that.

Thanks @robertklep for the rapid response; that’s saved me some wasted time pursuing that idea any further.

I think next I will try to follow this guide to get HomeBridge hosted as an add on to my existing Home Assistant to reduce the number of separate servers running by 1 in any case

hi , i will report a big in the lastet beta version ,

after a short period , the devices don’t get status updates like battery % or onoff , and the adaptive lightning problem i can say that my devices now run perfect , before there was a problem by my tv devices for example .

When one of those capabilities changes values in Homey (you have to watch it for a while), create a Diagnostics Report and report its ID to me. Perhaps there’s more information in the log why it stops updating.

To generate a report, open the mobile Homey app, then go to More > Apps > HomeKitty then press the gear icon in the top right corner.

I can’t find the “Rollo” device anywhere in the logs, but I see you recorded this video at 23:03 while the log was created earlier?

i created a new log , before i set my device rollo on several positions , and i put a light ( JetstrĂśm) on and change the dimlevel up and down . hope this i correct so

I don’t see any interactions with the Rollo and Jetström devices in the log. First do the interactions, then create a new log.

I do see that the thermometer is being updated:

Thanks.

I’m a bit puzzled, as this log stop at 2025-10-30T08:38:39.810Z, same as the one you made earlier today. I can’t remember if there’s a limit to the internal log, and that it just stops accumulating log lines, but if so, these logs are, sadly, unusable.

And since diagnostics reports are the only way for users to provide developers with internal information on their apps, there’s nothing I can do for now.

when i roll back to the normal version , this error doesn’t happen .
v 2.3.5 testversion all ok no errors

v2.4.0 was the adaptive light added , that causes some problems by 2-3 devices , so i installed v2.3.5

v2.4.1 fixed the adaptive light feature but after ~ 45-60 minutes they are not longer synchronisation with homey.

thats what i can say .
the only thing what i can try is so remove all HK devices and add only one or two .that is not a big problem because i homekit self i have no automations or else in use only room management i must sort new . maybe the log is not full by two devices ? .

My Homey 2019 had a large amount of other stored on the hard drive so I was getting ‘SQLITE_FULL: database or disk is full’, despite this Homekitty seemed to be working with HK but because I could’t access the Homey app I disconnected it from power, when I plugged in back in the message cleared but since them (22hrs and counting) it has shown no response in HK. I managed through further reboots to clear a lot of the “other” in my hard drive (from 800mb to 200mb) and have no problems with devices in Homey but still cannot get Homey to response in HK.

I have tried

  • Switching between home hubs in HK (2 HomePod Minis + ATV)
  • Unplugged Router for five minutes
  • Unplugged Homey for 10 minutes
  • Unplugged Homepods and ATV
  • Restarted my phone
  • Restarted HK
  • Performed a restart through the homey app
  • Restarted Homekitty
  • Just left it overnight to see if the problem clears itself
  • Made sure phone / homey / routers / Home hubs are up to date with firmware
  • Turning devices exposed by Homekitty in Homey app on and off to try and wake it up in HK
  • Homey has a fixed IP with my router
  • Homekitty has a 500 second delay before rebooting after a restart
  • Homey and HK are on the same network
  • Added a device not imported to HK in the Homekitty settings to see if it would force a update to HK bridge
  • Replaced the Homey power adapter from the original about a year ago

I also got an issue when trying to delete apps to offload some space with an error message that the app wasn’t deleted and when I rebooted Homey the apps reappeared but I have managed to clear that (also I hadn’t added any new devices or apps in a while so to suddenly be full seemed weird), I really hope the only option isn’t a full reboot as I’ve built my smart home up over time and the thought of having to start all over again is a nightmare. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks.

Storage space 690.1mb free of 1.64GB

Memory 73.12mb free of 1.04GB (Homekitty currently using 27.92mb of memory)

If you weren’t already running the latest test version of HomeKitty, try installing it: HomeKitty | Homey

Otherwise, the only things I can suggest is:

  • reset HomeKitty (from the app settings page), or
  • if that doesn’t help, remove HomeKitty completely, then reboot your Homey, then reinstall it.

Both solutions, when they work, will cause HK to think it connected to a new bridge, so any room assignments or automations will probably be gone and need to be set up again.

Your Homey running out of storage space might have caused an inconsistent state.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. I’ve been using the stable version on 2.2.7, will switching to the test version mean I need to start from scratch or will it port over? I know it looks more than likely I’ll have to go scored earth on this but want to exhaust all possible options before starting over.

It should port over. However, there’s a chance things are already “broken” enough to require a full restart of your HK setup.
