[APP][Pro] Futurehome SDCO Smoke and CO-detector

All my battery powered smoke alarms are added as unknown Z-wave device when using the official FH app. Have tried resetting them (pressing the buttong for 20 sec), but results are the same. Also, pressing 4 times when adding seems to work better than 3 times.

Maybe they haven’t added all the Product IDs to the Futurehome app yet.
Do you know the Product ID of your battery-powered smoke detectors?
You can find it under: Settings > Advanced Settings > Product-ID

Have you tried adding them using @Thies’ Futurehome Alarm (SDCO-1) app?

Edit: I just noticed that the Futurehome app was updated a few hours ago, so it might be worth trying to add the smoke detectors again now.

Ref the Futurehome App and that it now has support for the alarms.

With my testing, they have the same bug regarding an error message when adding the device, and what I think is incorrect battery status (mine went from 90 to 100%).

Feature wise, they did not implement a button to trigger the alarm, but that can easily be done with a flow. Other than that, the completed implementation would be similar.

Do we need this second app? Code wise, this is something I put together over a weekend - sad that it took well over a year to get in the main app. My focus would the move to Futurehome Charge.

Note that we are also working on making the Charge compatible with the official app!

Hi. Will this app also work for the Future home SDCO 230V?

Hi Kenneth,

I’m not entirely sure if the 230V version is fully supported yet, @Thies plan is to include support for those as well.

Could you try adding your 230V smoke detector and let us know here whether it works or not?

If it doesn’t work, please check and share the Product ID of your 230V detector so @Thies can potentially add support in a future update.

You can find the Product ID by navigating to:
Device Settings > Advanced Settings > Product ID

Thanks in advance!

I’m not sure what you need, here is a pitchure. The ID is different for Watch detektor.

It looks like the Product ID is 146, but I’m not completely sure.

Do you have a Homey Pro so you can try adding it to Homey and check if it works?

Yes i have tried several detectors..

Looking forward to get the Charge available in Homey, then I can get rid of the FH hub

The Charge is now available in test with the official Futurehome app. Development of the official app is done by us in collaboration with Athom, and is no longer supported by Futurehome (which is why support for all these devices are only landing now).

Thank you, I am trying it out now. I ended up using the Futurehome app to get the Zigbee pairing over bluetooth to start, seems like bluetooth in Homey is much weaker than my cell phone. Once Zigbee pairing us started, Homey picks it up quickly.

It would be nice to see the charge procent as a meter if possible, and have the stsrt/stop charge as the first on/off (or toggle) setting rather than lock/unlock.

Thank you for the feedback on the lock/unlock & on/off behaviour, we will be changing that with the next version. As we’re still in testing, you will be required to re-add it to change the order I’m afraid.

As far as we are aware it is not possible to show a charge percentage as the Charge is not aware of the charge percentage of the connected EV.

Been trying out both the “official” and your app now.
The official doesn’t have a button for the siren.

So far I have them all added with your app but might change later.

What I have noticed on both apps is that I can’t stop the siren on the detector that detected smoke (good thing I had an old Vape pen lying around).

I have a flow that triggers sirens on all units when smoke alarm is turned on, after a delay it turns all siren Off, and I have a virtual button that turns the sirens Off.

Both delayed flow and button turns siren off on all detectors except the one that detects the smoke, the only way to stop it so far is to manually click the button on it, (or wait til smoke is gone, I’m not that patient).

It is better than nothing, but it would be nice to have a way to stop the alarm with app and not just the physical button.

Any tips on how to stop the active detector?

Can you explain how you did it using the FH app?

If you already have the Charge in the Futurehome App, you can change/reset the Network Type - and select Smarthub (=Zigbee), if adding for first time follow the steps here; https://support.futurehome.no/hc/en-no/articles/12845306686493-Futurehome-Charge-Provisioning-First-setup

Choose the Network Type: ‘Smarthub’ (=Zigbee). Then when you start the pairing of the Charge to Futurehome hub, press Cancel right away and start the inclusion in Homey instead.

This has worked three out of three times for me.

You need to use Bluetooth to enable the Zigbee pairing, and that is why the Futurehome app has two devices - one connecting by Bluetooth to enable the pairing and the second being the actual ZigBee device handler.

You need to have the Homey close to the charger when you do this?

The method above uses the bluetooth on your telephone, whereas using the Charge Setup device in the Futurehome app on Homey will use the Homey Bluetooth, which I found to be weak. In the case above, your phone needs to be near the Charge - whereas once pairing is started you need a strong enough zigbee network to get the Charge included. My Homey is in the main cabin, whereas my charge is 20-30m away on an outhouse wall.

I moved my Homey down, just 3 meters from the Charge. Pressed the start pairing button in Charge setup, and the Charge was added without problems.

@drenso
Regarding the official Futurehome app for the smoke detectors. It lacks the opportunity to include it in Climate. Hope you can add this.

When this is fixed I will move to the official Futurehome app.
