[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Hi,

I still have the probleem uNiiek reported.

ReferenceError: Can’t find variable: initClear

I’m able to login but thereafter this message appears.

When trying to switch the camera’s on or off homey gives a timeout message.

Grtz.

Hey @Robert_Volkers ,
The issue is not fixed yet.

So better to use the login which pops up when you want to add a device.
The login in the settings is more or less a fallback page

New app update (live: 2.26.7):

Changelog:
1. FIX: error on settings page

@Robert_Volkers fixed it :wink:

New app update (live: 2.26.8):

Changelog:
1. HOTFIX: capability_already_exists error

@martijnpoppen Hey Martijn, very nice work on this app! I think I’ve found a bug: I’m trying to snooze a Eufy doorbell, however, the wrong device is snoozed. I verified this in the Eufy app.
I’m guessing this can’t really be an off-by-one error, since you must be using some kind of device id in Eufy’s API?

My setup:

  • battery powered doorbell
  • 3 eufycam 2
  • homebase 2

When trying to snooze the doorbell, the first camera is snoozed instead. Even when I only added the doorbell as a device, it still snoozed the camera.

Let me know if you need more details.

@trietsch
Hey thanks

That sounds strange.
Can you send me a diagnostic report? Then I’ll check whats wrong

More - apps - eufy security -settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report

Important!
Eufy Security IOS 4.0.0 introduced Home-Management.

Due to this change the device sharing with a extra account has changed. If you are a new user for the Homey app or you want to add a new device to Homey this might cause issues.

At the current moment there’s no fix available yet.
Work-around: Use a android device to share the devices to your extra account.

For questions please ask them in this thread.

Hey Martijn, here’s the diagnostics id: 43860d8d-dce5-4470-b819-930c61c84b41

Not sure if this is sensitive info, but it seems that I can’t send a PM. Thanks for looking into it!

@trietsch Thanks! will check it

Hi Martijn! Thanks for the great work on this app, it’s so so good.

I have experienced a very odd issue that I initially contacted eufy support for but after a while they convinced me to turn off the Homey eufy app and then the issue disappeared. I am trying to get rid of the notification “Switch modes from app” in the eufy settings in the Homebase, but whatever I do the settings get reset.

This is the case for all four of the “switch modes” settings:

  • Switch modes by schedule [off]
  • Switch modes by geofencing [off]
  • Switch modes from app [on]
  • Switch modes from Keypad [on]

When I edit any of these settings, after 15-30 minutes they have reset to their original state. I have tried to figure out if it’s connected to specific activity but have so far not yet seen a pattern, other than that it “sticks” if I disable the eufy app in Homey. When I reactivate the app the settings are reset again.

I have submitted a diagnostics report with ID 9fbe93fc-c688-45da-87fc-54a0d8ecd3e0, happy to help troubleshoot any way I can. Thanks!

Hey @jseverinson
It’s a setting on the Homebase device in the Homey app:

So go to the device setting and uncheck Force homebase notifications.

It’s there because the notifications where not persisted in the Eufy app :confused:

@trietsch
The device channel is coming from the Eufy API.
However I see a lot of 401 unauthorized errors in the logs.So the latest data is not updated
So this might be a ‘block’ from Eufy.
Is it possible to add a extra account. Share your devices with that one and login again in the Homey app?

Edit: I hope you’re not using the latest IOS app yet :see_no_evil:

I’ve created this account yesterday, but I can create another one. I’ll try it tonight and let you know. 401s should only occur then too many attempts are done with login right (then the account is blocked)? Or also when doing too many device actions?

I’m on Android, so no issues with Home Management (just yet).

The 401 can occur on the strangest moments.
But normally it would mean too many requests to the API. Either login or trying to start streams etc.

Edit: @trietsch let me know if it works. Otherwise you can send me a new report :slight_smile:

1. ADD: important notification about device sharing to timeline

I get a flowcard_not_registerd now - worked fine this morning…?

Hey @Henrik_Soegaard
I need some more info for that.
Can you share a diagnostic report?

More - apps - eufy security -settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report

When you send that I would suggest restart the app

Is it possible That it is not only IOS That has problems. Cause my flows to set homebase en camera’s in away or home modus doesn’t to work anymore. Was still working this morning. On Android

Done. Seems a restart solved the issue :grin:. Thanks
