Notifications for doorbell in homey is working again.
Only thing I now noticed is If I use the function to send a voice message to the doorbell with the selection “My message 1/2/3”, it does not work, even though I have created two voice messages in the Eufy app under Quick Reply.
@James_Mans please check the change log. It doesn’t specify anything related to doorsensors. So there’s no fix yet. It was not my highest prio. First get stuff working then fine tune
Please tell the model numbers of your cameras and send a diagnostic report after reproducing the issue
my homey has updated the eufy app do i need to do anything to get it working properlly again, eg sign again, restat the app remove everything and add back in, do i need to do anything
Hello Martijn,
I removed and re-installed the app just to be sure. But I do not get the doorbell press trigger in the flow.

I this update was to fix eufy notifications getting passed on to homey, nothing has changed in my setup except your update, so what do i need to do toget it working again
This is a known issue right now: Eufy is migrating their system and switching off the old one the app relies on, so notifications and event images have become unreliable regardless of setup. It’s happening on Eufy’s side and isn’t something I can fully fix in the current app.
In short: Eufy is moving everything to their new “Mega” platform and switching off the old system this app uses. The app is now in maintenance mode — I’ll keep the essentials alive, but new development is moving to a new Eufy Mega integration. Notifications and event images are currently unreliable, and that’s on Eufy’s side, not something I can fully fix here.
Why the app is in maintenance mode?
Eufy is migrating their ecosystem to the newer “Mega” platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on.
What that means going forward:
I’ll keep the bare minimum working for as long as the old APIs stay alive.
I won’t be adding new features to this app — the foundation it’s built on is being deprecated.
The real work is moving to a new library built around Eufy Mega. Once it’s ready, that’s where development continues.
Thanks for the patience
Notifications — hit or miss right now"
Some of you get notifications, some don’t, and it’s genuinely inconsistent. The app currently runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable no matter which side your account is on — there’s no guarantee either way.
The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side. We can’t trigger it, it’s not tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when or how they move an account. If yours stopped, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet active.
For now this is about as stable as it gets. Reliable notifications will come with the new Mega integration.
If you’re hitting notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause — no need to open a new report.
