[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

But is it possible to have a live stream on the dashboard on homey?

Yes, that is possible if you enable RTSP in the Eufy settings. At least my Eufy devices are capable

EDIT: Sorry, didn’t know that the S220 doesn’t support RTSP.

I don’t have this on s220 :confused: I can’t find snapshots ether :confused:

@martijnpoppen YES YES YES, your latest update solved the issue of ghost messages of motion with wrong snapshots!

I didn’t get a warning when the status changed, as I did get them before.

Nice work!!

I have the same issue; framerate in Homey app and web app suddenly is around 0,5 fps. The RTSP stream is working fine in VLC, Google Home, Eufy etc, but not with Homey Pro 2023 the last 24 hours.. Its been working perfectly the last 3 months until yesterday. Tried reset of eufy, homey and reinstalling of cameras to no luck.

@Peter_Brox as already mentioned this might have to do with the webrtc proxy Athom introduced
Not much I can do for now
I’ll ask athom

@Thomas_Knudsen S220 doesn’t support RTSP

for snapshots; FAQ Q14 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum

Martijn.. is it possible to add disableWebRTCProxy: true/false as a option switch to the app. Where we could decide if we want to use the WebRTC Proxy. For those that have no direct use for it that is?

okey thanks, but I can’t find this snapshot card that you talking about in q14

@Teddy I’ll check

@Thomas_Knudsen can you try a restart of the app?

Hi everyone,

I’m struggling to get my Eufy E340 (Hardwired) to send a proper snapshot via Telegram when the doorbell is pressed. I’ve followed FAQ 14 (separate account for Homey Pro) and I’m using the latest Eufy App v3.41.4. I do not use a HomeBase.

The setup:

  • Homey Pro (using a dedicated Eufy guest account).

  • E340 connected via Wi-Fi.

  • Important: In the Eufy App notification settings, “Include Thumbnail” is already enabled.

The issues with my Flows:

  1. “Take a photo” card: It consistently triggers a timeout error, so the Flow stops and never reaches the Telegram card.

  2. “Snapshot” tag: When sent to Telegram, it shows a generic sample/placeholder image.

  3. “Event” tag: It sends an actual image, but it is always a stale/old one (it doesn’t seem to update when the button is pressed).

What I have already tried:

  • Adding a delay of 3, 5, and even 10 seconds before the Telegram card to allow the buffer to update, but it still sends the previous image.

  • Verifying the image in Homey Developer Tools > Images. Interestingly, the snapshot visible there is correctly updated, but the Flow doesn’t seem to “grab” it.

Secondary question: Is there a way to disable person detection or filter it for “Known Faces” only without a HomeBase? Currently, I get too many alerts and had to shrink the detection zone to a minimum.

Any advice on why the Flow is sending a stale image while the Developer Tools show the correct one?

Thanks in advance for your help!

E340 can’t make snapshots without a Homebase. It’s currently not possible to decrypt that stream.
only way to get snapshots is to connect a Homebase.

correct, see FAQ Q3: [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum (doorbell press doesnt update the image)

There’s a known person detected flowcard

I have reviewed all the FAQs. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have drawn the following conclusions: I cannot obtain snapshots with my E340 without a HomeBase. Events are only updated if motion detection is configured, which is problematic given the high foot traffic right in front of my door. Since pressing the doorbell does not generate an event, the thumbnail does not update. Is it correct then that there is no way to receive an image to see who is at the door?

@Benjamin_Rivera_Torr that’s correct.
and without motion/person detection you wont get a thumbnail

Thank you very much, I see I didn’t decide on the best video intercom for Homey.

Hi Martijn,

First of all, I’m a fan of your app! I tried to get RTSP streaming working, successfully configured it in Eufy, and it works immediately in Homey. Naturally, I created a separate account for Homey. Initially, it worked perfectly with both your Eufy app and the virtual IP camera. Unfortunately, I keep getting a CAPTCHA request via the Homey Eufy app, which stops the live stream until it’s finished. I couldn’t find a workaround; perhaps you have an idea?

Hi @Ricardo
Most of the time the captcha disappears after 24-48 hours
It’s a extra security measure from eufy on your account

Do the s220 need home base to take snapshot? I don’t have the homebase

@Thomas_Knudsen no it should not. Did you try the restart?
