Is there no option inside the HomeBase settings?
Nope.
Probably since the doorbell is not always recording, only when thereās motion.
Yeah i seeā¦
The other cameraās do have it
In my Eufy App thereās an storage option. Seems like this is only for Powered cameras
I once used an edited Android app where the rtsp option for the doorbell cam was enabled.
But this was giving some problems with my NAS because the doorbell only records when it sees motion. So no constant stream because of battery drain.
@martijnpoppen What exactly does the new option: Send quick response for battery doorbell?
@2Be Yes thatās a pity. I hope Eufy will add a MJPEG option. then we actually could get snapshots.
Wow youāre fast
(youāre a test-user?)
Checking with @MrBlue if we can trigger the quick response from the battey doorbell via Homey.
Yep I am a test user. Loving your app. Having the battery doorbell I will test the quick response.
Do I need to re-add the doorbell for the quick response to be visible?
Thanks! Iām glad everybody likes it
Just checked the app has 220 users right now
@2Be no need to re-add, but note the dropdown in the top to get to the device menu. Had to search for it myself
Unfortunately it doesnāt work on my doorbell (yet)
I can only try it tomorrow. Kids are sleeping (finally). Doesnāt it only work when the doorbell was just pressed and the doorbell makes a connection to the base station?
Guess the doorbell isnāt reachable when it is in sleepmode.
@2Be I tested your hypothesis by triggering the flow with a delay and opening the eufy app/stream in the meantime. While the doorbell is one, the preset response is still not played.
I just tested the Quick speech messages. After pressing the doorbell I was able to send the messages. You have to preesss the option again after scrolling true the messages. Didnāt test the own messages and only the standard messages since I have no own programmed messages. Donāt know if the personal messages are Eufy user defined or that personal messages are used system wide.
@2Be So what you say is that this should work?
The custom quick response you can create inside the eufy app. Itās up to 3 custom responses according to @MrBlue
Fascinating⦠Tried the flow myself without luck. Even tried with a few seconds delay.
Iāll give it another try later, but first curious on @2Be 's experience.
@martijnpoppen . I am sure that will work as I just tested it. I also understand why @MrBlue was having problems trying the messages.
The Standard message 1 doesnāt seem to work. Itās text is played when I use custom message number 1. Standard message 2 and 3 seem to be accurate.
Custom message 2 doesnāt work. I donāt have a third custom message yet and didnāt have the time to test.
But people can now set an automated doorbell response when they are not home.
My usecase would be for a personal message after every ring. Like: Hey welcome to the party, hang your coat in the hallway. The door will automatically open in 2 seconds! See you in the back garden.
Is that also supported for Homebase with wired doorbell?
Canāt find it in the Eufy app.
@Wout-1976 Didnāt know if it was possible for the Wired Doorbell. But you can also trigger quick response from the Eufy app?
If yes, iāll add it
also wondering if the 1080p doorbell has it⦠
So itās like this?
- Default Repsonse 1 = Nothing
- Default Response 2 = Default Response 2
- Default Response 3 = Default Response 3
- Custom Response 1 = Default Response 1
- Custom Response 2 = ???
- Custom Response 3 = ???
@2be @MrBlue
I think itās better to remove the UIcomponent and only add it as flow action. Do you agree?
UIcomponent:
Gonna have to check if the order is right. I might leave the UI in for testing. After fully functional I donāt see a real usecase for it. But others might.
Quick response ⦠you mean a spoken answere?
If yes, doorbell with homebase has quick rsponse.
