:uk: - Eufy Security Smart Home Simplified [image] martijnpoppen: :warning: App status — please read before posting an issue :warning: Last updated: 23 October 2026 In short: The new Eufy app for Homey, built on the Eufy Mega platform, is almost ready for a beta release :tada:. This app (Eufy Security) stays in maintenance mode until then. Notifications, event images and API calls are still unreliable here, and that’s caused by Eufy’s migration, not something I can fully fix in this app. Progress can be followed here: Eufy Mega Discord :rocket: New app: almost at beta Together with other Eufy developers from the Homebridge and Home Assistant communities, I’ve been building a new Eufy Mega SDK, and the new Homey app built on it is nearly ready for its first beta. What to expect: One Eufy app for Homey, which will eventually replace both Eufy Security and Eufy Clean. It’s built on Eufy’s new Mega platform, so it doesn’t depend on the old APIs that Eufy is switching off. Migration will be needed. Devices will have to be re-added in the new app, so your flows will need updating too. I’ll share a migration guide when the beta goes live. It’s a beta, so expect rough edges. Please only join if you’re OK with testing and reporting issues. I’ll post here as soon as the beta is available, with a link and instructions. No need to ask for an invite in the meantime :folded_hands: :wrench: Current app: maintenance mode Eufy is moving everything to the Mega platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on. Until the new app takes over: I’ll keep the bare minimum working as long as the old APIs stay alive. No new features will be added here. Fixes for issues caused by Eufy’s migration are mostly out of my hands. :bell: Notifications: hit or miss The app runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable whichever side your account is on. Reliable notifications will come with the new app. Crashes Some users see app crashes. These happen when the Eufy API goes into a loop that this app can’t handle, and we don’t have control over what Eufy is doing there. Failing login Your account may already be on Eufy’s new V6 API, which this app doesn’t support. The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side: we can’t trigger it, it isn’t tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when your account moves. If your app stopped working, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet being active. The new app is the fix for this. If you’re hitting crashes, notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause, so there’s no need to open a new report :folded_hands: Progress on new: [eufy-security1] [eufy-life] [eufy-security2] [eufy-security4] [eufy-security3] [eufy-clean] Add support for Eufy Cam/Doorbell in Homey. The topic for Eufy Home you can find here: Eufy Home Account Information Because of the way the Eufy Security private API works, an email/password combo cannot work with both the Eufy Security mobile app and this app. It is recommended to use the mobile app to create a secondary “admin” account with a separate email address and use it with this app. Usage Install this app on your Homey. Go to add devices Provide your Username and Password. Click Next Available devices show up Current features: turn on/off camera (EufyCam pan&tilt will turn its lens) Set guard mode (Home, Away, Disarmed, Schedule) Add devices and use them in flows. I’m starting to think my issue is account based. No change installing the new version. I deleted my extra admin account and made a whole new one, even a second one with another different email. When trying to add a device I just get the message that no devices are found, it’s like it doesn’t see the account, it’s the same message if I input the incorrect password. I tried with my main account and it will recognise the devices but it displays the issues I was already having where nothing updates.

Hi, FAQ Q1 notifications at the Eufy app level are fully enabled. Diag report: e1677c4c-429b-4b34-b270-9122161d6c27 Thanks

@Richard_Neal please send a diagnostic report

@Shaba49 I don’t see any errors, can you try to force some detection and send a new report? Do you receive push notifications on your phone from Eufy?

[image] martijnpoppen: Do you receive push notifications on your phone from Eufy? i have the same since roud about 2 hours. notifications are displayed in the eufy app, but not in homey. also the indicator on the tile in homey from a camera doesn’t show anything.

@CyberSponk @Richard_Neal @Shaba49 See above and [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #5 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum I’ll investigate further, but I’m afraid this is outside of my knowledge about the Eufy SDK. Next to that the maintainer of the Eufy SDK stopped the project. So currently me and some other devs are the ones keeping the SDK alive.

thanks for the quick information. if you need anything or want to test something, just let me know.

@CyberSponk will do! At the moment all my accounts are working somehow, so will try to create a new one and see if that one errors out :crossed_fingers:
