:uk: - Eufy Security Smart Home Simplified [image] martijnpoppen: :warning: App status — please read before posting an issue :warning: Last updated: 23 October 2026 In short: The new Eufy app for Homey, built on the Eufy Mega platform, is almost ready for a beta release :tada:. This app (Eufy Security) stays in maintenance mode until then. Notifications, event images and API calls are still unreliable here, and that’s caused by Eufy’s migration, not something I can fully fix in this app. Progress can be followed here: Eufy Mega Discord :rocket: New app: almost at beta Together with other Eufy developers from the Homebridge and Home Assistant communities, I’ve been building a new Eufy Mega SDK, and the new Homey app built on it is nearly ready for its first beta. What to expect: One Eufy app for Homey, which will eventually replace both Eufy Security and Eufy Clean. It’s built on Eufy’s new Mega platform, so it doesn’t depend on the old APIs that Eufy is switching off. Migration will be needed. Devices will have to be re-added in the new app, so your flows will need updating too. I’ll share a migration guide when the beta goes live. It’s a beta, so expect rough edges. Please only join if you’re OK with testing and reporting issues. I’ll post here as soon as the beta is available, with a link and instructions. No need to ask for an invite in the meantime :folded_hands: :wrench: Current app: maintenance mode Eufy is moving everything to the Mega platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on. Until the new app takes over: I’ll keep the bare minimum working as long as the old APIs stay alive. No new features will be added here. Fixes for issues caused by Eufy’s migration are mostly out of my hands. :bell: Notifications: hit or miss The app runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable whichever side your account is on. Reliable notifications will come with the new app. Crashes Some users see app crashes. These happen when the Eufy API goes into a loop that this app can’t handle, and we don’t have control over what Eufy is doing there. Failing login Your account may already be on Eufy’s new V6 API, which this app doesn’t support. The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side: we can’t trigger it, it isn’t tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when your account moves. If your app stopped working, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet being active. The new app is the fix for this. If you’re hitting crashes, notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause, so there’s no need to open a new report :folded_hands: Progress on new: [eufy-security1] [eufy-life] [eufy-security2] [eufy-security4] [eufy-security3] [eufy-clean] Add support for Eufy Cam/Doorbell in Homey. The topic for Eufy Home you can find here: Eufy Home Account Information Because of the way the Eufy Security private API works, an email/password combo cannot work with both the Eufy Security mobile app and this app. It is recommended to use the mobile app to create a secondary “admin” account with a separate email address and use it with this app. Usage Install this app on your Homey. Not sure of i follow the thread. Issue is that Eafy send an image from the event earlier. That is if I push the doorbell at any given time I don’t get the latest update. The image sent to me by Homey is from the capture before, that is a reaction from Eufy that is several hours old. Lets say that someone triggered Eufy motion sensor today at 10.00. Someone ring the door at 18.00 - the image sent to me by Homey will be an image from the 10.00 event. Hope You understand my explanation

@spelevinken ah the image is not up to date. See [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum Q3 So can you try with a motion detection and see if the image is up to date when you have motion?

No I mean that in the Eufy app… the doorbell does not have those settings… I get notifcations as I expect in the Eufy app…

@Mackelito what kind of Doorbell do you have? And every Doorbell has those settings

[IMG_9605] There are settings for notifications but not where you showed in the q&a [IMG_9606]

@Mackelito Ehm this is exactly the same as the FAQ  But you don’t get the notifications in Homey? Can you check the timeline tab in Homey? [image]

the timeline only have like notifications of me leaving and coming home  [IMG_9608]

@Mackelito please note my screenshot, it’s the timeline of the Doorbell
