:uk: - Eufy Security Smart Home Simplified [image] martijnpoppen: :warning: App status — please read before posting an issue :warning: Last updated: 23 October 2026 In short: The new Eufy app for Homey, built on the Eufy Mega platform, is almost ready for a beta release :tada:. This app (Eufy Security) stays in maintenance mode until then. Notifications, event images and API calls are still unreliable here, and that’s caused by Eufy’s migration, not something I can fully fix in this app. Progress can be followed here: Eufy Mega Discord :rocket: New app: almost at beta Together with other Eufy developers from the Homebridge and Home Assistant communities, I’ve been building a new Eufy Mega SDK, and the new Homey app built on it is nearly ready for its first beta. What to expect: One Eufy app for Homey, which will eventually replace both Eufy Security and Eufy Clean. It’s built on Eufy’s new Mega platform, so it doesn’t depend on the old APIs that Eufy is switching off. Migration will be needed. Devices will have to be re-added in the new app, so your flows will need updating too. I’ll share a migration guide when the beta goes live. It’s a beta, so expect rough edges. Please only join if you’re OK with testing and reporting issues. I’ll post here as soon as the beta is available, with a link and instructions. No need to ask for an invite in the meantime :folded_hands: :wrench: Current app: maintenance mode Eufy is moving everything to the Mega platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on. Until the new app takes over: I’ll keep the bare minimum working as long as the old APIs stay alive. No new features will be added here. Fixes for issues caused by Eufy’s migration are mostly out of my hands. :bell: Notifications: hit or miss The app runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable whichever side your account is on. Reliable notifications will come with the new app. Crashes Some users see app crashes. These happen when the Eufy API goes into a loop that this app can’t handle, and we don’t have control over what Eufy is doing there. Failing login Your account may already be on Eufy’s new V6 API, which this app doesn’t support. The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side: we can’t trigger it, it isn’t tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when your account moves. If your app stopped working, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet being active. The new app is the fix for this. If you’re hitting crashes, notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause, so there’s no need to open a new report :folded_hands: Progress on new: [eufy-security1] [eufy-life] [eufy-security2] [eufy-security4] [eufy-security3] [eufy-clean] Add support for Eufy Cam/Doorbell in Homey. Hi Martijn, The light card is there now, many thanks! I’m seeking some clarification, please. The card is called “toggle” but it’s asking to input a value such as “on” or “off”. Isn’t toggle just supposed to turn the light ON if it’s OFF and vice-versa? Also, when turn ON, the light only stays ON for a second or two, then turns off. Sometimes stays ON for less than a second, other times for a couple of seconds, and once every few attempts stays ON for good, until I tell it to turn OFF. Not sure if that’s normal?

Hi Fix worked find , homey reads out the door sensors now Tx

@danone yeah you’re right toggle is not the correct term for that card. ;p I’ll have a look at the behaviour of the light it should stay on until you turn it off. Theres should also be a light button on the device itself can you check if that works for you or has the same behaviour? [Screenshot_2023-04-15-11-21-38-44_4bbfc4a7dd885a2bb189f300112a7ed4]

Hi @martijnpoppen , the sensors are working fine now with the S380 Homebase. :+1: One issue I found now is that I can use the Homebase two as a second siren but it doesn’t work as chime. I can select the homebase 2 to work as chime but when I test it no sound is coming from the homebase 2. Test as siren did work just fine. Can you take a look at that when you feel like it? Thanks again for all your good and fast work.

@Heula thanks! Looked at it yesterday and made a fix but might be that i missed something. Do you have devices connected to your homebase2? Can you share a diagnostic report so i can see he response?

[image] martijnpoppen: Theres should also be a light button on the device itself can you check if that works for you or has the same behaviour? Just checked and the button shows identical behavior. It turns ON the light for a short while. Once every few attempts, it works fine, turning the light ON until I turn it OFF.

I have all devices setup in de new homebase 3 and there are no devices added to the homebase 2. That one is just for use as an extra chime and sirene. The chime should work now? I have no issues with all devices connected to the new homebase. I didn’t even need to change my flows for all sensors, they kept working fine in Homey. ed326e4d-7cc8-4315-a0b0-1aaaf8442d41

@heula There is a difference to the connection. When there is no doorbell Connected I have to trigger a different function. Something goes wrong there I guess

@martijnpoppen , Is there something you can do to make the chime work without connected doorbell? There is nothing added to the Homebase 2 but I can use it as second siren now. So is it still gas a function. Have a nice day.

@Heula yes it should, thats what i tried to explain in my previous post  But will check your logs
