:uk: - Eufy Security Smart Home Simplified [image] martijnpoppen: :warning: App status — please read before posting an issue :warning: Last updated: 23 October 2026 In short: The new Eufy app for Homey, built on the Eufy Mega platform, is almost ready for a beta release :tada:. This app (Eufy Security) stays in maintenance mode until then. Notifications, event images and API calls are still unreliable here, and that’s caused by Eufy’s migration, not something I can fully fix in this app. Progress can be followed here: Eufy Mega Discord :rocket: New app: almost at beta Together with other Eufy developers from the Homebridge and Home Assistant communities, I’ve been building a new Eufy Mega SDK, and the new Homey app built on it is nearly ready for its first beta. What to expect: One Eufy app for Homey, which will eventually replace both Eufy Security and Eufy Clean. It’s built on Eufy’s new Mega platform, so it doesn’t depend on the old APIs that Eufy is switching off. Migration will be needed. Devices will have to be re-added in the new app, so your flows will need updating too. I’ll share a migration guide when the beta goes live. It’s a beta, so expect rough edges. Please only join if you’re OK with testing and reporting issues. I’ll post here as soon as the beta is available, with a link and instructions. No need to ask for an invite in the meantime :folded_hands: :wrench: Current app: maintenance mode Eufy is moving everything to the Mega platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on. Until the new app takes over: I’ll keep the bare minimum working as long as the old APIs stay alive. No new features will be added here. Fixes for issues caused by Eufy’s migration are mostly out of my hands. :bell: Notifications: hit or miss The app runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable whichever side your account is on. Reliable notifications will come with the new app. Crashes Some users see app crashes. These happen when the Eufy API goes into a loop that this app can’t handle, and we don’t have control over what Eufy is doing there. Failing login Your account may already be on Eufy’s new V6 API, which this app doesn’t support. The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side: we can’t trigger it, it isn’t tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when your account moves. If your app stopped working, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet being active. The new app is the fix for this. If you’re hitting crashes, notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause, so there’s no need to open a new report :folded_hands: Progress on new: [eufy-security1] [eufy-life] [eufy-security2] [eufy-security4] [eufy-security3] [eufy-clean] Add support for Eufy Cam/Doorbell in Homey. The topic for Eufy Home you can find here: Eufy Home Account Information Because of the way the Eufy Security private API works, an email/password combo cannot work with both the Eufy Security mobile app and this app. It is recommended to use the mobile app to create a secondary “admin” account with a separate email address and use it with this app. Usage Install this app on your Homey. @AB-domotica if you disable the notifications you cannot use the doorsensor in Homey. Without push notifications the Homey app cannot function. As this is no official integration of Eufy it has to go trough push notifications. Just see the Homey app as a extra phone which is logged in on your Eufy account. If you don’t want push notifications on your phone and only on Homey check the FAQ Q2

Hi Martijn. I think I understand. It only is notifying when the house is armed. That works fine. But once you trigger the alarm (by accident for example). It does not return to it’s normal state because the alarm is set to home in the meantime (and in this home state the notifications are off).

Ah yes I understand. What you can do is create a extra security mode. Like a step in between. So when you turn the alarm off, you’ll go that security mode which disables the alarm but leaves the doorsensor notifcations on and 1 minute later you’ll go to the proper security mode. Not sure if that works though :man_shrugging: I can also add a reset doorsensor flowcard if that helps?

Let me think of that. I also have a keypad on which I switched back to the home state after the alarm was triggered. At that point I left the doorsensor in the dark concerning notifications. It is a bit complex. Let me sleep over it, because I cannot oversee all the different situation yet and what is handy to do.

Hi all, The flowcard - start stream stopped working since today. Eufy changed something in their streaming. I’m checking if I can fix it. Edit: also site of Eufy is not able to open streams : eufy Security

@martijnpoppen hi Martijn is it possible to connect a second homebase 2 to Homey? Because when i try to do that homey says no New devices found. Thnx in advance

Hey @FERRY_Dekker Yes this is possible as long as you share the device with your extra account

@martijnpoppen thnx so stupid off me that was what i forgot to do. Works now.
