However, it’s giving only power data of the individual strings, no total solar power. This means it does not automatically show data in the energy tab. Also, the (minimum) refresh update is 5min, which is quite large. Is this limited by the cloud connection?

Goodwe GW3000D-NS
I have 1.15.4 as well, no issues here. Both strings are showing power. Also zonnestroom is visible. There is only a slight difference in zonnestroom en vermogen. Since everything is up and running again, the totals are showing in the energy tab. If needed I can share a diagnostics report.
Dug into the cloud issue a bit — found the root cause.
My account is on GoodWe’s newer SEMS+ backend (semsplus.goodwe.com), not the classic SEMS portal — confirmed via the station ID in the SEMS+ URL matching my system exactly. I tested the SEMS+ Web API directly (login + telemetry/telecounting endpoints, same auth flow as the recent SEMS+ PR in TimSoethout’s HA integration) and here’s what it actually returns:
PV power comes per-MPPT only: MPPT-1:Ppv and MPPT-2:Ppv (kW) — no combined “total solar power” field. Has to be summed, same root cause as the earlier Modbus total-power bug.
status is a bare numeric code (e.g. 5), not a text label — that’s probably why “Status” shows N/A, no code→label mapping for it.
There’s genuinely no load/consumption field anywhere in the SEMS+ response for this inverter — it has no smart meter/CT clamp, so “Belasting” can never populate via cloud for this system. Not a bug, just missing upstream data.
Everything else (PV strings, AC voltage/current/frequency, temperature, operating hours, energy today/week/month/year/total) comes through fine.
That explains a lot, my account is also migrated to SEMS+ due to a notification saying the classic sems will discontinue. Would a local modbus connection solve the problem. Or can the Homey app possibly combine the strings into the total solar power?
Update to v1.15.5 and send a new diagnostic report:
If your GoodWe cloud device was showing “Cannot read data from GoodWe cloud” or missing values (e.g. total solar power, firmware version), please update the app to v1.15.5 first.
This version no longer takes the device offline just because one field (e.g. outputV, firmwareVersion, SOH) is missing from your account’s data — it now shows whatever values it can read and simply logs the rest, so partial/unusual data from GoodWe’s cloud won’t break your device anymore.
It also now logs the data GoodWe’s cloud sends back for your inverter. So if something is still missing or wrong (e.g. no total solar power) after updating, please:
Submit a new diagnostic report from the app (Homey app → GoodWe Inverter → Settings icon → Report a problem), and post the Log ID here.
That one report should now have everything needed to fix it — no back-and-forth needed. Thanks for your patience!
I’ve pushed a fix for the missing total power / voltage issue on your GW4200D-NS. Please install the test version here:
After it updates and polls at least once, you should see:
Vermogen (total power) populated again, using the inverter’s own reported output instead of the missing powerflow data.
Voltage now read correctly for your single-phase inverter (it was looking for a 3-phase field your model doesn’t send).
firmwareVersion and SOH will still show - — your inverter doesn’t report those at all (no battery, and no firmware field in its data), so there’s nothing to fix there.
Let me know if the numbers look right, or send another diagnostic report if anything’s still off.
Thanks for testing! Looking at your log, it looks like this was still running the previous version — could you make sure you’re on the test build?
Your inverter (GW3000-XS) is reporting 296–887 W of output in the data GoodWe sends, so once the test build picks it up, total solar power should show up correctly in Homey Energy. If it still shows nothing after updating and one poll cycle, send another diagnostic report and I’ll take another look.
