test version: PVOutput App for Homey | Homey

This is the official new app for PVOutput. It allows you to send your PV data from Homey to the PVOutput cloud. It also allows you to add a PV Output system to your Homey as a Solar Panel device.

I have been using pvoutput for several years for uploading my solar.
I just want to bring this data back into Homey.
Would love to test this app.

You can install it using the app link @ post 1.

Do you maybe have a time limit setup? If so wait till tomorrow when the sun is shining :sunflower:
If it doesnt work by then pls send an app diagnostics report.

The kWh value needs to be sent as Wh, Robin :grimacing:
So I adjust it temporarily like this:

(The unit KWh should be kWh btw :face_blowing_a_kiss:)

My energy values should be a 1000 times higher as you can see:

While almost all Energy values are stored in kWh format, can you add a ā€˜times 1000ā€™ calculation to that input field?
Like, 3.41 kWh then gets sent to PVO as 3410 Wh

Oh and I completely missed the max once per minute upload limit.
Maybe itā€™s nice to also mention the upload limit @ app store and other places?

Btw: I created a trigger card that uploads at the right moment and not too often. :wink:

So, at first I started with a ā€œWhen solar power is changedā€ card and got angry messages :rofl:

With your time based trigger, I added a ā€œAnd solar power is above 0ā€ card, to prevent useless nightly updates for my solar only data.

Hi Peter, im new to pvoutput myself and I think I only just found out that all energy readings (kWh) are only for today, and not cumulative. Can you confirm this?

It expects daily energy yield values in Watthours.

Hereā€™s my recent figures, fed with daily energy yield values:

V1.0.1 is ready for testing: PVOutput | Homey

  • Implemented 2 minute rate limit for uploading via flow.
  • Only upload when values have changed.
  • Fixed wH vs kWh values.

If all is well, this version will be released as stable in the Homey app store.

Hi Robin,

There is another kWh issue with the app.

I use the app to get my generated amount of energy from pvoutput to feed my Homey.

It multiple the kWh amount with a 1000. So I end up with 16000 kWh for a day instead of 16 kWh. The scale in the diagram is correct, but reported amount is not.
