[APP][PRO&CLOUD][OFFICIAL] Growatt

New app version 2.3.0 is available for testing:

  • Added support for all global regions
  • Added more battery support
  • Added DC Solar and AC Inverter capabilities
  • Use AC value for Solar power
  • Added support for the latest Homey Energy functionality ‘target_power’
  • Added translations for all Homey supported languages
  • Code refactoring and stability improvements

This app version should now work for worldwide installations. I hope that users in the America’s and Pacific regions can confirm this!

A significant change was introduced to the Inverter/Solar device. It now differentiates between DC and AC power of the solar panels. DC is the power your panels produce before converting to AC. Because your inverter introduces losses, your AC power will always be less. Furthermore, this app version makes use of the new Homey Energy functionality for limiting Solar power so you can stop or limit solar production when energy prices are negative.

IMPORTANT: If you added your Growatt devices in app version 1.x.x you will see messages that your device will not be supported anymore in the future. Version 2 of the Homey app is using a completely different interface to the Growatt cloud servers. While your existing devices will stay keep working in Homey, it is very much advised to add your devices again so you can start to make use of the new features. The new way of adding a device involves getting an api key from the Shine mobile app.

If during pairing you get no found devices it means something is wrong in the Growatt server database. You need to contact Growatt support to have that fixed. Alternatively a solution was found by @Paolo_Baccolo : [APP][PRO&CLOUD][OFFICIAL] Growatt - #203 by Paolo_Baccolo
