[APP][Pro] Blink for Home - Smart security designed for every home

Early Christmas present :christmas_tree: :wrapped_gift: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

New test version 2.1.0:

  • Fixed oAuth authorization (Blink API changes)

I hope this version fixes the auth issue. If you get errors, please leave a note here.
And if it works without issues, leave a comment, too. Perhaps I can release to live version directly without a review that all new users can start at Christmas :crossed_fingers:

FYI:

It is working! Thank you very much. Warm wishes for a joyful holiday season

Working for me too! New install of Homey and therefore a brand new install and login for Blink. I’m glad I found this thread and have been waiting patiently for the last couple of days.

Thank you so much!

Btw…Most apps have a forum thread linked in app store details.

Unfortunately, after entering the correct login details, I receive the following message. What could be the cause, since it works for some users with version 2.1.0?

Can you please send me a diagnostics report?

Ronny – Apologies, but the latest updates works fine. Do you still need a report?

This was an answer to @grey.shirt.guy
If everything is working, I don’t need a report.

Hi @RonnyW ! Great work you have done.

I am a new Homey user and have previously used my Blink cameras via Alexa app. In Alexa there is a arm/disarm function for the system. I read the description of your app and noticed arm/disarm is mentioned there.

But when I use your app in Advanced flows, I can only find a card to turn on/off individual cameras instead of a card to arm/disarm the whole system.

Does turn on/off do the arm/disarm function for that particular camera, meaning I should just have a card for each camera to perform on/off to reach the same as with system arm/disarm in Alexa? Or does turn on/off really shutdown the camera?

Is there some specific reason preventing the system arm/disarm in just one card? Perhaps API limitation which Alexa can bypass?

Thanks a million!

Hi,

turning a camera on/off in Homey activates/deactivates motion detection for this camera.

The β€˜system’ is represented by the SyncModule device. You can turn it on/off to activate/deactivate the system managed by this SyncModule.
