If you check the “i” on the card, it is described there that it does that.
No problem making a flow to restart network with the already provided cards:
Dang I learn something everyday. I never noticed the I. Thank you!
Thanks for the app!
I’m sure there is a way to to this, but i can’t make it work.
I have 1 Router acting master and 3 mesh-nodes and would like to create an automation that sets the presence on and off for different automations based upon when I.e I’m home or away.
But as I am never sure which node my phone will connect to I have problems understanding how to easily make this work as there are no “when XX connect to the network”
Or am i thinking wrong here?
Yep, you are missing the first cards that you see when selecting the “when” card, under Asus wrt before selecting one of your router nodes there are 2 cards that will trigger for your entire network instead of a single node.
These are the ones you are looking for
Thanks! So how would you trigger presence in the case?
As you say there is a card for “a device connected to your network” but I need to be specific which device it should trigger for.
In the “and” I can choose device, but that is not really what I want, What I really want is to be able to choose specific device in the “When”.
How would you do it?
Hi,
Thanks for a good app. I’ve been using it for a while and I’ve a bu reprt, a feature request and a question.
I’m starting with the question: I’ve created a flow that sends me a message if there is an update on any of my units. And that message is onlybtriggered when Indona manul search on my routers, not when the routers by themselves identifies updates. Is that due to that there is no information available for the app then?
Now for the bug report: When I get an update notification for my RT-AX88U it says there is an update for RT-AX86U.
And lastly the feature request: Is’t poosible to get support for the repeater series for example RP-AX58
Pål
Hi, unfortunately I have only been able to test the ‘update available’ functionality once since my routers apparently never received any new firmware since I bought them… (just once, but I didn’t make the homey app back then)
In regards of the repeater, if it is supported by the asus app on your mobile phone it probably functions in the homey app too as a access point.
the cards provide you with tags, you can use these tags in the ‘and’ column with the ‘logic’ cards that are available. you can then compare the IP or MAC to certain values, or you use the asus cards for ‘device connected to network’
I am having trouble getting the app to work. Invalid login credentials.
I log try loging in with the same credentials as on the router.
What am i doing wrong?
Please help
Same thing for me.
@SlicingHaunt This is a feature request, but I would like to be able to change the parental controls through Asus WRT . Do you think that would be possible ?
yes, maybe, will have to take a look at that and can’t promise anything anytime soon though.
I also have problem with logging in
first I had “device not available” tried removing the device and adding again then I get “Invalid login credentials.”
I try loging in with the same credentials as on the router.
what can be the issue??
@SlicingHaunt could you make it work with the RP-AC87? Of I try I get credentials issues
Many Thx!
Same for me. Cant log in. I can successfully log into the Asus router with my credentials and ive tried to disable and re-enable captch but it wont log in!
I have just published a new version to test, Asus WRT | Homey
If you encounter pairing issues please let me know, this should be able to help a bit finding out what is going wrong. If you are still unable to pair your devices after following the steps again please submit a diagnostic report so I can find out what is going wrong.
and yes, please disable the login captcha from your router settings, that should also help with issues.
I am using the ‘When a device connects/disconnects’ trigger cards, in combination with a logic card that checks the MAC address of the connected/disconnected mobile phone, to determine whether someone gets/leaves home.
This works perfectly for phones that connect to my main network, to which my Homey is also connected.
However, when a phone connects to the guest network, which is on a different sub net, the above mentioned WHEN card is not triggered.
How can I handle connections via the guest network? Or do the WHEN cards only work for devices in the same sub net as Homey?
