A fast update. Restarted HOMEY and issue seems solved. Remembering that somewhere update frequency api was adjusted tot 30sec? Maybe I was to hasty to report and should wait at least 30sec for ‘triggers’.
first of all thanks for a great app. Is it possible add functionality for the “comfort airflow” and “intelligent airflow” operation? We have a Daikin stylish heatpump
I am the proud owner of a Air/Water Daikin Altherma 3 M Monoblock, and it shows up in the Homey app as a Altherma III - ClimateControl. I am able to get the “Leavingwater Temperature” and “Outdoor Temperature”, but I am not able to set the setpoint for the watertemperature.
This can be done in two modes, either relatively when the heatpump is in “outdoor compensation” mode, or absolute. For relative mode, I can set +10 to -10 degrees and in absolute mode I can set the watertemp for +20 to +60 degrees.
Any chance that this type of heatpump will be integrated into your Homey app?
HI, I have checked the API, The watertemp (=20 —+60) can not be controlled. this is a fixed seting on the Altherma3
The offset( -10 — 0 — +10) is in the API i it should be possible to add this to the Homey APP.
But i don;t see any added value for this , maybe if you can give me a good reason why?
You just set te roomtemperature with the thermostat , ONECTA app or Homey , so why the offset?
My usecase is that I do have a Loxone system that I use for temperature control in my home, where it regulates the waterbased underfloor heating. It also have the capability to suggest a certain setpoint for the water based on outdoor temperature and heating demand. This works very well but I have to keep the setpoint on my Altherma3 Air to water heatpump (Monoblock) manually. As I have set up an API between my Homey and my Loxone system, it would be great to use the communication path to control the heatpump setpoint automatically (with some self developed failsafe’s of course).
So based on my findings, I am not able to set the “room temperature” via Homey, as nothing happens on my heatpump when I have turned off the outdoor temperature compensation curve. When I do this I am able to set the absolute temperature on my heatpump using the ONECTA app, but not via the Homey app as mentioned.
So I do not have a requirement to use the relative setting, I would rather that the absolute setting worked. But it currently does not.
Is there anything I can do to help out identifying the API call?
HI, thanks for your explenation , Iám in contact with a dutch users with the same question.
I have acces to his account to create and test the code.
I will let you know when the code is ready.
When I change temperature control mode, the app almost instantly updates its GUI from relative to absolute and vice versa. So there must be something in the API that makes it dynamic and possible.
Looking forward to you code. I am able to test code on my setup as well if you want a beta tester or something.
@Mickel_Luiten thank you so much. I have very quickly tested setting relative temp and it works great. I will try to test more thoroughly over the next week, including absolute setpoint and flows.
I have just been testing a bit, and the relative offset mode works fine, but when I change to absolute control mode, the app does not reflect this. I do restart the app. I have even tried to add the heat pump again, just to see if that helped.
Any thoughts or things I need to do to get it to work?
I set the setpoint for “leaving water” temperature. As it is a air/water heatpump, there are no room temperature to control, at least not for me. I guess the heatpump support a room temperature sensor and setpoint, but for my use case i need to control the water temperature.
Your in the Daikin ONECTA thread,. Don’t know nothing about tibber and how this will intergrate with the Daikin ONECTA app.
The update of the Daikin ONECTA was a feature request for altherma3 hearpump that runs in controlmode leavingwater to set the offset.
So nothing has changed futher
