stumbled across this when looking at the [APP][Pro] Amazon - Alexa forum. would this work for me as i am from australia?
I’m just wondering if anyone has used this for announcements to several echo devices? The one issue i had with the current alexa homey app is that some of my announcements tend to fail when sending out to multiple devices. I suspect there is a limitation on the api or configuration of the current alexa homey app. This doesnt happen often but even flows that just send an announcement to 1 device fails.
The other issue is the random disconnects which is most likely a limitation on the api/connection as mentioned by the developer of the Alexa homey app. I’m currently still using it as its better than nothing.The developer for the alexa homey app mentioned that there’s not much configuration he could do to improve on it due to some limitations.
I was about to give up on using echo speakers for notifications as i’m currently testing out a few things on a sonos speaker.
I’m happy to run some tests on this app also as i have many echo devices in the house provided its set up to work in australia.
