I’m on the same problem. Try to configure app, redirects me t0 192.168.X.XX:3068 and never loads… Any idea on solution this, @Jamie ?
i suspect it has to do with MFA. doesnt happen to me often but sometimes i need to configure the app on my PC. i’ve rarely needed to use incognito/inprivate mode on my browser.
YUP!! that worked! Thanks man!
So, while that did work, I still have another issue that I would like to throw in here. Don’t know if it’s related or not cause I’ve had it for a while. If I restart the Alexa app, OR restart Homey, the Alexa app will crash and restart every minute or so. I let it go overnight and in the morning it seemed to be fine. Of course after fixing this latest [login] issue, the restart issue is happening again (as we speak). Gonna let it go for a few hours and see if it rectifies itself. This is the Alexa app, not the Amazon Echo app, to be clear. Any ideas out there? Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I wanted to take advantage of the momentum the Login issue seems to have. Thanks.
Will you make support for FireTV? And will it include which app is open? For example When YouTube opened then…
Can you add support to turn Alexa alarms on and off? And dismiss them?
I’m getting disconnect errors daily. It appears to be authentication related. Can you provide a flow card that will attempt to reconnect or is that not practical? Currently I get a notification of the disconnect and manually re-configure.
I’m also getting disconnects, I’m also using a flow with “Connection Error” → “Reconnect” but sadly that does not seem to work properly. Only a restart of the app and a new sign in works.
Hi @Jamie could you try figure out a way to cast images and URLs to an Echo Show 8 3rd gen? I think you might have to make an Alexa skill for it, but i’m not sure. Thanks!
New to Homey and this app. I added the information as indicated and was able to get my lights, Air Purifiers, and Plugs into Homey to control and create flows for. However, there are 2 switches which do not show up. I have the switches set as Bulbs in Alexa, I also tried switching it to Switch in Alexa. Not sure if I have to wait when making the type switch, but I cannot seem to get the 2 switches into Homey.
I should also note that the devices are actually Wyze Devices in Alexa. They Homey integrated ones work well. Just need to get the 2 switches into Homey so I can turn those lights on and off.
Anyone have any suggestions to try?
Do you know how they connect to Alexa and/or what protocol your devices use? Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter, Wi-Fi? And what brand is your devices?
You have to use the Wyze Skill for them to connect. Wyze has somewhat a proprietary protocol. But it is based on WiFi and a form of Zigbee for their contact and motion sensors. The motion and contact sensors don’t appear either.
I am coming from Home Assistant and someone created a Wyze integration for it. However, they could not do the motion and contact sensors either.
But the Switches are WiFi Based
Did you try to add the Alexa “Other” device?
Yes, tried other as well. No additional devices were found.
The Bulbs and light strips are WiFi as well, so I assumed the switches would connect as well.
You can request an app for the Wyze devices here:
Thanks, I see there are some Wyze requests. So I commented within the post
every day I have to log in to Amazon again so that the app runs again for a few hours.
After a day then again the red exclamation mark in the app icon… It’s desperate…
Same…. It lasts for days for me then the app disconnects. I don’t have to login again, but i need to go in the app settings and press connect.
I am having a similar problem. I use two different Echo devices to make announcements from my Homey Pro Mini. It will work fine (some short delays occasionally) for a few days in a row and then the Echo devices will show as disconnected in the Amazon Echo app and I have to go into App Settings and reconnect into Amazon using my userid and password. They reconnect and work fine again for one day and then I have to reconnect again the next day. What is triggering these disconnections?
Me to in UK, same symptoms
