[APP][Pro] Alexa - Control your Amazon devices from Homey

I guess it might have something to do with where we are in the world? It works perfect for me and i’m in Norway.

Is there a test version? When I click the link it defaults to 7.0.1 version.

And I have problems with connection as well, same as the guys above described with a difference. After forced to change my password, I could finish the configuration but Alexa is still unavailable.

Edit: Just as I posted it the connection renewed.

Or try this:

Go to your app in Homey.

Restart the app.

Go to configure.

And hopefully it works.

The link i sent is the test version.

Chiming in here, trying to simply sign into this Alexa app for Homey and I cant get past the 2FA prompt. Just says oops page not found. No other country works. The Amazon app code auth method also yields the same error page.

I can’t login with Amazon 2FA active

Hello Jamie

With version 7.0.1, I have an Echo Spot but I can’t control the alarms. I don’t have a Flow card that controls the alarms.

Hello Jamie,

I’m having trouble adding an Echo Show 5 to my Homey Pro. Every time I try to add the device, it redirects me to http://192.168.)X.XX:3086, but the page fails to load. I’ve tested all available servers and the issue persists. Both my PC and phone are on the same network, but the result is the same.

Is it possible that the Homey app isn’t correctly starting the local webserver on port 3086? I’ve checked my firewall and local connection, but the port remains unreachable.

I’ve already tried restarting the Alexa App and checking for Firewall blocks on port 3086, but the local server is still unreachable.

Could you help me, please?

Regards!

Hello Jamie,

I have a problem with my Amazon basics smart home light bulb. When I add it into homey, it doesn’t detect the bulb as a light source, but as a light switch or sum. In the Alexa app I can set it to RGB and warm/cold white colors, but in homey it only shows the white colors.

Additionally I wanted to create a mood with 3 of my bulbs and homey doesn’t show them in the mood creation menu.

I would be very happy if you could take a look at the issue, or I can send you more info if you need it.

Hi all

I have an issue that stated all of a sudden after 3 months of everything working fine. If for any reason I have to restart Homey, the Alexa app and only that app, constantly crashes every 30 seconds or so then restarts where it holds another 30 seconds, then the cycle continues. While created, of course all devices red out and flows break. When it comes back, everything works again, but not for long. The last two or three times it happened, I was working late so after several restarts, both of Homey and the Alexa app, I went to bed. In the morning it appeared to have stabilized. I seems to hold unless I’m forced to reboot the homey or if there’s a power outage. I don’t know how much time passed before stabilizing but it was more than the 30 min or so while I was trying to figure it out before walking away. If this pattern is consistent, I suppose if I ever have to move the Homey or unplug it, I should do it just before bed. But this just seems very unreliable. Homey has not come up with any ideas. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I’m on 7.0.1 of the Alexa app. And btw, when I happens, I check and the app is still logged in (connected with Homey).

Thanks

Miguel

I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to be posting this? I am caught in the endless Alexa authentication loop as numerous other people have posted about in this same thread. It started when my Homey Pro Mini updated to version 12.13.0 yesterday. That appears to have broken my connection with my Alexa devices.

I am trying to reconnect all Alexa devices, and I can’t get past the pop-up login screen for my Alexa/Amazon credentials when trying to add a new Alexa device. I have been chatting with Amazon support for quite some time. The farthest I have been able to get is an acknowledgement that there are known issues with a login loop when trying to add Alexa devices to a Homey hub.

Any ideas what I should do next?

This is a community (unofficial) app, so Amazon can’t help you with the issue.

I presumed, perhaps incorrectly, that it was an Amazon issue to fix, since it is their login credentials page that is failing in an endless loop? Is it really a problem with the community app itself?

Im having the same issue now, cant login to amazon app it keeps going in a Loop :frowning: and wont authenticate.
