Again my curtains did not close this evening. Happens once a week for the last 2 to 3 weeks.
Maybe you can find some info in the diagnostic file I sent you.
Thank you for the good work!!!
I have searched for the ID but it is not showing up. What version are you using and do you have a Homey or Homey Pro?
Edit: If you have a Homey Pro, then the Log from the app settings screen shows more information about errors.
Homey Pro 2023 = latest version (12.10.1)
SwitchBot = latest test version (2.0.60)
I use BLE as communication, including your ESP32 solution for one of the curtains.
I forgot the login tool build-in. Will take that next time I notice this problem.
Iâm not sure if it is just coincidence, but the webhooks for my Lock are now coming in within a few seconds. One thing I have done, which again could just be coincidence is moved one of my hubs much closer to the lock as I noticed the signal strength in all the hubs for the Lock were very low. The hub is still showing a low signal strength even though the hub and the lock are only about 0.5m apart.
For me, it doesnât work, neither with the old locked and unlocked cards from the module (Matter), nor with the new locked and unlocked cards from the module (installed via SwitchBot).
My hub is 2 meters away from my lock.
I hope all of this will work again someday.
Are you seeing any status changes in the device tile on either module?
What hub do you have?
If you look in the SwitchBot mobile app under Profile - Manage Hubs and select the Hub that is nearest the lock, does the lock appear in there?
No, I donât see any changes. I still have the red triangles on the old Matter module, and the new modules still donât send lock and unlock status updates to the corresponding lock and unlock cards. When I go into the hub profile, I can see my lock and my keypad correctly.
Can you unlock and lock via the Homey app?
Sorry for the questions, just trying to get my head around where the problem could be. I seem to have issues with notifications when my lock is paired with the video doorbell. When I unpair them it takes a while for it to sort itself out, but then it starts working again. So far I have no response from my contact at SwitchBot about this.
Iâm getting mixed info from the web (AI) so I was hoping someone could clarifyâŚ.
Iâm looking for a new garage opener. I see Switchbot has one. Is a Switchbot HUB required or can I add the device directly to Homey Pro 2023? Currently I do not have any Switchbot devices in my household.
I just checked, and since 11 a.m., I havenât been able to lock or unlock the lock from the app.
I restarted the app, but it doesnât help.
Yet, the information is correctly reported in the hubâs âGet Devicesâ section.
Iâm completely confused.
The garage door opener has wifi and acts as a hub, so my guess it it will work by itself.
If you set the log level to Detailed information and operate the lock, do you see any errors. Maybe send the log if you want me to take a look.
I unplugged the hub for one minute and then plugged it back in, and I can once again open and close the door using the app.
However, I still have to use the device capabilities, because I still donât get any status feedback on those two cards.
Could you try rebuilding that Flow just in case it has become corrupted.
I tried to recreate a flow using the card, but I donât receive any information.
Thatâs why, for now and while waiting for this to work again, Iâm forced to use the device capabilities.
However, the response is much slower compared to the cards when they were working: I have about a 10-second delay.
On top of that, I tried using the latched and unlocked cards, but itâs a nightmare, because during unlocking the state switches from latched to unlocked and back in a fraction of a second, and sometimes not at all, so itâs not reliable.
Honestly, when I was using the locked and unlocked cards, it was extremely simple and the information was reported immediately.
Itâs normal that I added a 10-second delay in my flow, because otherwise it shows multiple lock alerts, as the lock sends several pieces of information almost at the same time.
Iâm really struggling to understand what is going wrong. The device must be getting updates else the device capabilities app wouldnât work. All my tests with my lock trigger the Flow cards, so I canât understand why they are not working for you.
Can you confirm which version of the app and Homey you are using?
homey 2023 pro 12.8.0
SwitchBot 2.0.60
Maybe we misunderstood each other: with the old SwitchBot Matter appâwhich now shows red trianglesâI used its cards to see if the lock was engaged or not. Those cards even let me lock and unlock the door.
About an hour ago, the lock and hub installed via Matterâwhich had red triangles for a weekâfinally went back to normal (see photo). I can lock and unlock it again, but now itâs like the standard SwitchBot setup: I no longer get updates through the two status cards, even though it worked before. Itâs a mystery why the red triangles disappeared.
Iâm showing you my flow that was set up with the Matter lock and hub. It used to work perfectly, but now itâs no longer triggering, even though the red triangles have disappeared
Unfortunately, I know nothing about the SwitchBot Mater app as that is written by Athom but, AFAIK, it is totally local.
If neither that app or mine are reporting the status then I can only assume itâs an issue with the Lock or the hub.
Do you have any issue with the status feedback on your two cards for locking and unlocking?
If you link these two cards to a notification, do you correctly receive the information when the lock opens and closes?
If so, I donât understand why it works on your side and not on mine.
Could you test it and let me know if it works with both cards, please?
