[APP][Cloud & Pro] SwitchBot (Release 2.0.35, Test 2.0.49)

I must confess I didn’t check the update speed on my temperature meter, only on my contact and motion sensors. I can see that the temperature meter is pushing Webhook updates, but they are not instant. A brief check seems to suggest the message is pushed from my meter plus when the humidity changes by 1% and when the temperature changes by 0.5 degrees.

Hey, I just got a new homey. The pro. I did recover from my old one, but switchbot BLE didn’t work and some zigbee stuff also needed a fix.

Two curtains (together as one, open in the middle) and a switchbot bot

However, I can’t seem to add switchbot again. Deleted everything, from homey and switchbot app. Every time I try to add, it won’t find it. No new devices.

It works fine when I add it to the switchbot app, but homey won’t find it.

What should I test? Tried pairing in developer, as well.

I managed to add them. But the curtains doesn’t work. Timeout. And the bot only sometimes work. But mostly times out while trying :person_shrugging:

Restartet homey each time I did something

It sounds like you are having the same BLE problems with your Homey that I have with my new one.
If you go to the Homey Developer Tools page and discover devices do you see many BLE devices?
If you try to connect to an “unknown” one does it succeed or do you get errors?

I don’t see many, it times out when discovering. But the ones I try to connect to just time out

That’s the same problem I have on my new Homey. My old one works fine, so I’m sure there are BLE issues with some Homey’s. Athom are investigating and have been able to replicate the problem but not solve it yet.

Shame. I have ordered the hub. Because everything works fine through the phone app. And need my curtains working before homey can fix it.

So I got the hub mini. But the closing and opening curtains are so slow. And sometimes not working at all. It’s connected through hub and flow is 0% and 100% (also tried 1% and 99% just to test)

When I use my switches, sometimes goes right away, sometimes it suddenly opens or closes 30 seconds later.

Today for example, my flow that opens the curtains, did not open the curtains.

Very inconsistent. Any suggestions?

Could you go to Homey Developer Tools, select the SwitchBot app and the Log tab, then set the log level to Detailed Information. Next operate the curtains / switches until you get the delay. Then, go back to the log and click on Send Log. Hopefully, I should see if there are any errors occurring that could cause the delay, as it sounds like the app is having to retry the command.

Now it works faster when I’m trying to show you. But I sent you diagnostic when it’s slower to respond.

Neither of the logs are showing any errors and the commands are acknowledged consistently quickly.
The only strange thing is I can see one command is sent 3 times in a row before the acknowledgement, but there are 3 acknowledgements, so not sure that means anything.

I have 2 issues:

  1. I just received my switchbot bot and somehow i cant add it to my devices tab (through the hub). I did put the cloud services on as i did with my curtains but the homey app just cant find it.

  2. I cant run a scene in the switchbot homey app. I get this error: this.hub.getScenes is not a function.

I restarted homey and, restarted the homey app.

Are you using the latest version of the app?

I will look into the code for the getScenes issue when I get home.

If you have a Homey Pro (a ball), could you send me the log from the Detected tab in the Configure App screen.

yes, im using the latest version of the app (v1.1.4). I even used the expermental one to add the temperature and moisture sensor as it wasnt available in the previous version. I returned to the regular version today (not a big deal as i dont use it in flows, but it that sensor only updates once per week or so).

I’m using a Homey Pro and the log is Sent. I guess its a small log as I switched from expermental to regular.

I have received the information log but I need the Detected log. That’s on the other tab.

No problem, I have it now but it’s not good. It seems that it is not getting any devices from your account :thinking:
That explains why it’s not finding the bot but no idea why it’s returning nothing.
Can you still control your curtains with Homey via the hub?

yes lol, thats kinda funny. How can it controll something it cant find haha.

Is there any way to log in and out other than deleting the app and reinstalling it?
If there is nothing to do about it, i guess i have no choise and i will reinstall
