All matter over thread devices keep disconnecting

Since this morning my 2 ikea matter over thread devices keep disconnecting. I tried repairing, but that hangs on the “connecting to Thread” step. Restarting the app doesn’t work. Restarting the full homey works for an hour or so.

You could change the title, because it’s not just IKEA. All of my 8 Thread devices lose connection. Different manufacturers, different devices (sockets from EVE and Bosch, smart lock from Nuki, door handle from Sigenia and so on).

After restarting Homey, the devices reconnect without any problems, but after some minutes, the same thing happens again. The thread network is displayed as available (Settings → Thread)

I think the problem has existed since the Matter Bridge was updated to version 0.5.0 or 0.6.0 (yesterday or the day before yesterday). No idea if it’s a random thing.

…hoping for a (quick) solution. :frowning:

Thanks! I do not have any other Matter products at home so I wasn’t sure where to put the blame. I will also create a support ticket if it’s not only me

Same here. Mostly have Eve devices (Energy + Motion) and they keep disconnecting randomly. Also have to restart my Homey 2-3 times a day.

I have just found that some of my Matter devices disconnected today. I also have a number of new devices I was adding hanging they connect, do the setup and then keeps trying to connect again before eventually just ending with no error or device.

At the moment I am struggling to recover. I had already started to try a repair after a restart had left me 2 devices out, my own fault I had removed and added those sensors to my SwitchBot hub.

However the repair will not complete for some reason it says it can not see Homeys thread router as I am not on the same WiFi network but I am a Homey Pro mini hard wired. If I change my phones WiFi then 5ghz can see the thread but not the hub and 2.4ghz can not see thread. Yet this all worked first time previously. Now Homey can,t see the hub or any presence sensors that were on it.

Same here, after I add new ikea sensors (door and temperature), one of my really stable connections to Aqara climate sensor is gone. Repair, ok and after few hours is again offline.

I have the same problem with all my Zigbee sensors.

I have got answer from support:

There may be an issue with the firmware currently installed on your Homey Pro. To rule this out, please connect your Homey Pro to a PC or Mac and reinstall the firmware using the USB Tool.

You can follow the steps in this article:

When prompted, please choose the firmware update option.

Don’t worry, reinstalling the firmware will not remove your data. Your Flows and devices will remain intact. If you’d like extra peace of mind, you can create a backup beforehand.
