Hi Everyone,
Looking for some advice/to get peoples views on the best way to manage devices with Alexa.
I’ve just moved to a homey pro but have been using alexa to control all my smart devices. My question in, whats the best way to manage devices, should I:
Remove all existing devices from alexa and use the homey skill to reconnect them?
Keep existing devices in alexa and exclude them from the homey skill tso they aren’t duplicated?
Ideally still want to be able to control stuff using voice commands
If anyone has any experience/pros or cons would be greatly appreciated!

You might get multiple opinions on this depending on people’s experiences.
For me…
The Homey skill for Alexa is a reliable way to execute Homey routines from Alexa flows.
The VoiceMonkey site and associated Alexa skill is a reliable way to execute Alexa routines from Homey flows.
I use the above to manage all interaction where possible.
I add a device to Homey via the Alexa skill only when I need to determine the device’s status.
I hope that’s helpful,
Andy

Thank you that’s useful as I’ve not used voice monkey before but I might explore!
I did some testing and it seems like the homey skill works reasonably well. So I’ve removed all the devices from Alexa apart from the actual echo devices and my eufy cameras (the homey app seems hit or miss) and excluded them from the homey skill.
Then everything else seems to work as normal. The main thing it took me a bit of digging to find out was that only favourite flows sync to Alexa scenes which is a bit annoying as they then clutter up my Home Screen but not the end of the world!
