Good day, Im having difficulties with integrating an Ajax camera in Homey. I have installed ONVIF Camera from Adrian Rockall. The Ajax cam has ONVIF enabled. Im not able to get a screen shot from the camera in Homey. Can someone please help me.
Welcome to this platform Bas,
If there’s no APP for this device, you can’t add it to your Homey. There are generic devices, but not for cameras.
That’s not entirely true, Ruud.
The TS wrote the cam already works with the Onvif Camera app. This works with any camera supporting the generic ONVIF protocol.
But, in case of no snapshot functionality, it needs a specific developed app.
Please use the Onvif camera app topic for your questions, as mentioned at the app page @ homey.app store.
This way you reach the developer and fellow app users much better.

About
I’ve two Reolink cams, one has the same problem you mentioned, because it has no webserver to provide for the pictures.
You can test it in a browser, by copying the URL mentioned at cam Settings > Onvif Snapshot URL , like this one from my cam:
In these cases, you’ll need a specific app written for your cam brand/type.

Hey Bas,
