Advice on Zigbee vs WiFi for Shelly Flood Gen4

I just picked up a Shelly Flood Gen4. It looks like a nice unit with an external, extendable sensor cable.

It has the ability to be set up using Zigbee or Matter over WiFi. Since I want to use several of these things via Homey Pro Advanced Flows, to control my main water shutoff valve in the event of a detected leak, I want to use the most reliable communication protocol possible. I have a pretty robust wireless network system in place and several Zigbee devices are in my home, but….

Does the community have a general feeling: Which would be the most robust way to set these up - Zigbee or Matter over WiFi?

Thanks!
Carl

Zigbee is by far the most stable standard IMO. Matter is still new and, in my case, isn’t working with most devices (most of the time it can’t find the device, sometimes it works but disconnects after a while).
