Advice needed: Smart thermostat + TRV setup

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice on a smart heating setup for our bungalow. Our current situation:

  • Living room/kitchen: Large open space with the main thermostat and manual radiator valves.

  • Baby room: We want to install a smart Radiator Valve (TRV) here to keep the temperature at a steady 18°C in the evenings.

Which smart thermostat do you recommend that works well with Homey and integrates with smart TRVs?

Crucially, the TRV in the baby room needs to be able to “call for heat” from the boiler, even if the living room is already at the target temperature.

not sure if this article is fully up to date with 2026 products, but maybe it helps?

I currently don’t use TRV’s as I have electric heating via mvhr system and infrared, so I cannot advise on any of them. What I can say however is that when you also have a smart main thermostat, it is sometimes a good idea to stick with one brand as they will probably be made to integrate well together. Especially when the main thermostat can also manage the CV pump and or water temperature based on demand.
