While adding Trädfri GU10 bulbs, I noticed that the described method wasn’t working for me. Perhaps this was the case because they had been previously included. This is what worked for me…
In my case I used a GU10 to E27 adapter to perform these steps close to the Homey.
Switch off the light
Let Homey search for the light
Switch on the light
Reset the light by switching it off and back on again 6 times.
Make sure while switching on and off, the on phase is shorter than 1 sec and the off phase is not too short. Wait after the sixth time and it should reset.
In my case I waited not long enough in the off phase to reset the bulb.
True, if you switch them on again too quickly most likely there is some sort of condensator in the bulb that holds the power for a bit and it doesn’t register as beings switched off.
Still: just switching it off and on twice as indicated by the Homey app, doesn’t work
